I'm partly busting your balls... but If you have a 1951 Mercury Coupe with a chevy big block engine, with a Muncie transmission and a ford 9" rear end, It's still a 1951 mercury coupe no matter what you decide to name it.

well seems like you guys dont like it so i'll just call it out loud.

it's a so called Nordstadt bug. Nordstadt was a small tuning company that only did 2 of these. And because only the chassis but not the body or frame are a bug, it is registered as a Porsche. Today the company is known as Artz!
Artz did a lot of crazy stuff like a VW scirroco pick-up or a porsche station wagon.
Some refer to it as Beetle carrera but officially it is a porsche and today only 1 of these sweet rides still exists.
The engine is from a Porsche 914/6 and does 220 bhp.

iT'S all technicalities. Same to me as a hamann BMW, Yenko Camaro, Shelby gt500 to name a few. The reason you have to register that vehicle as a porsche is due to the engine. This way the vehicle is insured properly.

psst, dozer... it's the other way round, porsche owns 25 % of VW. They already owned 5 % and the recently aquired 20 percent more. (why? good question, they should invest in continuability instead of the world's biggest shopping charts manufactuer.)

Even though, the beetle is sweet, not that hard to guess though with those fuchs rimms and exhaust stance
