tell me what you drive, than outdrive me on romanian roads...........you only stand a chance if you drive a land rover....if not, you'll be picking parts of your suspension and transmission from 10 miles of road

do you know the car Puch G? it is an austrina car and i own one of them. It is the best off-road car in the world!!!
You could also know that car as an Mercedes because puch doesn`t produce the cars anymore and so marcedes produces them.

a lot of the old eastern block cars such as lada use fiat running gear and therefore you can fit the lancua twin cam turbo engine from a delta, this is by far the best way to put big over into one of them

i'm kinda surprised. i read through 10 pages of this thread and no one has mentioned the only east euro car company i knew of before coming to this site, which is Skoda (sp?). i don't really know much about them, but i figured they had to be pretty well known over there if i knew who the company is. you guys are welcome to enlighten me.

that's right, and besides i would like it if people posted pics of older cars, that may have made it across the ocean, or that can be found in western europe at least

Dude, really, never say youll outdrive a romanian on our home turf. If you dont go off the road after hitting huge pothole, slamming into a "caruta" or being taken out by some psycho Turk or Russian truck driver youll never be able to handle the equipment. Any moron can go fast on the Autobahn in a Porsche, now lets see the same idiot do the same thing in a 1300cc 30 year old Renault on roads that are more like Paris/Dakar then Autobahn. You have no idea what the roads in Romania are like, you cant compare the M5 or whatever with any of our highways.

if he thinks he can take me on our roads....i'll just wish him the best of luck....and call 911....someone is gonna have to fix his car or tow it .....and as a small advice....don't drive a fast car....get a hummer or a land rover if you want to stand a chance....

thanks for the support ROMANUL
you know what kind of roads i'm talking about

Ok, here’s a nice Eastern European revamp – the Volga V12 Coupe – and there’s only one in existence! They took a BMW 850 CSi, removed all the bodywork and replaced it with specially made pieces with design features from the 60s. The car spent nearly 18 months in a specialist body shop in Moscow and although nobody wants to say how much it all cost, experts estimate the car is worth about USD 1,000,000. They’re now displaying the car at international motor shows.

I think it looks really hot – a great combination of retro design and soviet “style”. It’s just a shame that underneath the surface, it’s not a Volga at all. Anyway, I hope you like the pics
