east european cars

how to tune an east-european car....or some other cars that you haven't seen at any tuning show....
anyone that has any idea please post....

I'm very interested in dacia 1300 or renault 12 (basicly the same car )
Sometimes it could be found under the name Renault Toros (Turkey).

BAI, ie usor. Take the stock engine and tranny out of it. Find a wrecked Integra Type-R, take the engine, tranny and all the components that you need to make it run, and drop all of that into your Dacia. About the handling and brakes, sa te ajute Dumnezeu, I tried to take my uncles 1973 1310 for some rally driving around Vaslui, yeah, death, I dont think there are aftermarket spring and shocks for the dacia, but I could be wrong. For the Tires, get some nice 16 inch wheels and slap on some Yokohame A032 tires. Of course by the time this is all said and done, you would spend enough money to buy a 3 series BMW, sii chiar poti sa fii cel mai tare din sat

i was thinking of something a little bit different.
i own a 1977 dacia, you can see it in my uploaded pics.....the red one....it has a comment that says it is my car. i modified it slightly.....replaced the 1300 pistons with 1400 pistons....a little bit grinded.
gained about 5 hp....kinda worth it

How about a bigger carburretor? Port and Polish the heads? High compression pistons? Are there actually any Dacia tuner, if so, coming to Bucuresti, and I wanna go get some parts for my uncles Drop Side

i'm not sure these cars need tuning...
they seem to me a lot of fun just to cruise around slowly...
they weren't meant to be speedy...

for those who have never felt a dacia 1300 at 135km/h....i say:
the feeling is an adrenaline rush...it's harder to handle than a sports car at 220
it's unbelievable...i know...i'm a speed freak...almost reached 140 once...but didn't have the guts.

this car was meant for romania!!!

ehehehehe, i think the main problem is the air filter on the dacia, i would remove the hole thing and increase the filter size, preferably a cone filter, and a bigger diameter pipe, not home bent.
Turbo i dont know, i seen a few dacias with turbo from a renault ____ sometinhg, but i'm not sure about the efficiency on that, cause HOW HIGH CAN U REV A DACIA BEFORE IT SOUND FCKED UP??? so a supercharger/kompresson might be better for low RPM

bah bunicamiu avea o dacia 1100, motor pe spate si proasta tragea, mult dar avea probleme cu raciera,
chiar mi-ar place o masina ca aia cu urmatorarele optiuni:
-Radiator si pompa mai mare si mai efficient
-modificarea caroseriei sa intre mai mult aer radiator
-2x ventilatore electrice pe viteze mici, in munti, sa mentina o raciere constanta
-2x FILTRE de aer , da DOUA, model con, unul in fatza cu pipeing pana in spate la motor sa intre aer cu viteza cand mergi dare, si unul in spate sa reduca distanta pe care o parcure aerul la viteze mici ca san u pierzi "flow", cele doua sa se combine inainte de intake intrunul
-carburator mai mare
-pistoane si valve mai puternice
-etc

looking at this dacia-turbo, it's a nice project but it can be improved:
the air-filter, sucks, it should be positioned away from the turbo, so you're not going to be sucking hot air, a better pipe would be great this one looks like it's has to much air restriction.
the filter should be placed more towards the front of the car.
An INTERCOOLER would be great giving u more hp, and better efficiency, i u get hot air into the engine the combustion won't be so efficient, the colder the air the denser.
the hose coming out from the filter into the engine could be removed and replaced with a mushroom filter (picture attached).
however its a great project

lol...did some of u guys drive a yugo? u should try... it will break apart at more than 100 kmh i speak from my own expirience. yeah, livin in serbia is rough 2 bad i crashed my mercedes c180.
