I had my uncles at 120+k/h in Bucuresti, asa de repede pe linga Bucur Obor nu va recomand. Its true, 250 in a Ferrari is nothing, 120 in a Dacia, you feel alive, connected to the car, prai that there are no people in a caruta around the corner though

the yugo is a cute little car...i think you can reach 110km/h in it.....only if you're insane like me.
the dacia's max speed is about 140 km/h...but i wouldn't recomend it. I have a driver's licence for about one year now....the date that i got it is 09.03.2005....(DD.MM.YYYY)...so i've only driven about maybe 6 cars...but i like the dacia more than anything else...and i've driven a ford mondeo 1994, a mercedes vito 2000, a lada 2107....and the list continues....nothing gives you the rush and the direct control of the dacia...it's truly a car that forces you to learn to control it, as it has no helping sistem whatsoever.
Not ever power steering or servo brakes. The most complicated part of electronics in it is probably the lighting or the ignition.

if you talkon' off road, you should try a kadett...
110km/h off road... now there's a dare to other cars...
the only "eastern" car i've ever driven was a Trabant... man even that 70km/h was enough...

the ARO m461 will do about 100 km/h easy, but it's a bit top-heavy so......do that at your own risk.
off road....dunno....maybe 80km/h, but it's a 60's car....so what more could you want....it takes about 10-12 l/100km, diesel, 4 cyl, 2445 cc, around 80 hp....typical eastern off-road....but damn sturdy

it definitly looks like it could go right through a brick wall, that ARO, but then again: why would you try that
after my second kadett i bought a Citroën XM and, man, i wouldn't exchange it for no other car in the world... French cars rule!

da mai shi pocneste
took it up to 90 yesterday....got a few problems:
-air the brakes
-check the steering wheel (kinda pulls right)
-see what's wrong with the clutch....it slips..
it's not expensive...cause it's mainly tinkering, not new parts, but it's time consuming

Well from what I remember, you have to be a tinkering master when you own a Dacia. Is it still the same, you carry a tool kit, tape, wires and oil everywhere you go?? We left the country when I was 8 but I still remember having to fix the old 1310 because it wouldnt make Bucuresti-Constanta without a little tuning.

nah...the 1300 are a bit more sturdy....i mean you only have to tinker every 5000 km or so...
but i used mine to carry anything from potato or corn sacks to river rocks....for my cellar....needed to redo te walls
