Michigan BLT

Tony’s I-75’ in Birch Run, Michigan is home to the Michigan BLT.  With a whole pound of bacon, this BLT clocks up an astounding 4,000 calories and 190g of fat; guaranteed to satisfy even the hungriest of carnivores. But with so much ‘B’, you’d be hard pushed to find the ‘L’ or ‘T’ that make this a classic example of the sandwich.

The Corned Beef House - Toronto

These sandwiches come in three absurdly titled sizes: huge, giant and colossal. The colossal rendition of the corned beef sandwich ($15.25) is one of the biggest in the city, with a pound of meat stacked so high that the addition of bread seems a little pointless.

Dangerous Dan’s Diner checks in again

The truly overindulgent will want to get their hands on this gem: the Colossal Colon Clogger Combo ($23.95), or the “Quad C” for short. The burger comes complete with a 24-ounce patty, two fried eggs, and a quarter pound each of bacon and cheese. A small poutine and a 24-ounce milkshake accompany as sides. All in all, it’s about five or six pounds of food.

For those of you who are not familiar with Poutine:

Common slang terms for Poutine are "Mess" and "heart attack in a bowl".  In cities like Montreal, Quebec City and even Ottawa, you can find Poutine trucks parked on the street setup as mobile kitchens where you can buy your very own bowl of "mess" for lunch or an afternoon snack.
Poutine has become so popular that many restaurants have added it to their menus and you can find it at almost any chip stand near the Quebec border.  A common misconception is that any type of cheese can be used as an ingredient of poutine.  This is not the case.  The quality of the white cheddar cheese curds (cheese made from soured milk) used are what makes or breaks a great poutine.

The Bacon Explosion

Multiple strips of bacon are lovingly woven into a fatty, greasy mesh, onto which ground sausage meat is dumped before more cooked and crumbled bacon is sprinkled on top and the whole thing is rolled up into a big cigar full of porky goodness.
This bacon behemoth comes in at over 5,000 calories and more than 500 grams of fat – delicious.

Muffuletta

The key to a good muffuletta — which features piles of ham, salami, mortadella, and provolone cheese — is Italian olive salad.

This oh-so-yummy-looking creation, known as “The Sandwich of Knowledge,” consists of a bottom tier with eight strips of bacon, six sausages and four burger patties; followed by a second tier of black pudding; topped by a third tier consisting of two diced chicken breasts and six fried eggs. Be still, my heart
