Ok. Found an illusion. It's the same concept as the stupid triangle you kids bicker over.
There are certain 'lines' which are not straight. They have small angles that are very hard to pick out with your eyes. When the pieces are moved around, the space is also moved.
A more simple way to look at the triangle problem is to calculate the slope. Height/width.
Total figure = 5/13= 0.384615384615384615384615384615385
Red triangle = 3/8 = 0.375
Green triangle = 2/5 = 0.4
As you can see, the slopes are all different. The top of the figure in 'before' is angled down. The top of the figure in 'after' is angled up.
