As a long-time paying member, I was recently motivated to not just be an observer but to try to contribute content as best as I can. Considering I’m older and not as social media and web savvy and you younger gens I get tripped up sending content that probably frustrates all the mods to have to pick through.
I did have a couple questions-
What does if mean when a picture is rejected and it simple says "Deleted"? Isn't the whole reason you have categories like Underage/Celebrity Model/Duplicate etc. is to give an explanation to the uploader?
Also, has the Queue been overloaded recently? I have about 80 pix waiting in the Q since July 29th and was just curious?
Thanks again for all you do.
I didn't realise there was an option where it just says "deleted" - in your delete log, it should give a reason at the top of each image as to why it was rejected. Is this not the case for yours?
The queue has been on the large side recently, it currently has 14,000 images waiting to be moderated. Bear with us, we'll definitely get through them as quickly as possible.
In answer to your other comment about content that frustrates moderators - I can't speak for anyone else but my personal irritation comes from those images which are clearly marked with a website address on them, or those that are so grainy (poor quality). It's frustrating that the person who uploads them thinks they are suitable but all it does it clog the queue up.
I think what some users also forget is that I, and the other mods, are also contributors to the site. So I have to upload images into the queue like everyone else, and we're not allowed to moderate our own images (the system doesn't allow it). So plenty of my images are rejected for a whole host of reasons, some of which I don't agree with - the difference is, having done the job of a moderator I understand that it's nothing personal against me (hopefully), it's just the opinion of whichever mod is checking my uploads. I'm sure I've rejected images from other mods and they can't understand why, but again, it's MY opinion.
