Before we can even talk about editing out pictures or using some sort of filter so you don't see low rated pics, we need to fix how pictures are rated in the first place.

Take this picture for example. It has a average score of 7.26, she gorgeous, but yet 12 people have given her a score of 1. Do they really think she's a one? I doubt it. They are just rating pictures for the sake of rating picture and getting the points...either that or they're just being assholes. If you delete all the one votes, the rating jumps up to 8.08. That is a huge difference, almost a full point, and if we had a filter, and you set it to 8, you wouldn't see this pic.

I'm just saying, as mentioned already, that there needs to be some sore of way to stop people from consistantly voting 1.

This pic is even worse. 7.40 as it stands right now, 8.75 if all the 1 votes were removed.

Seriously, who can possibly justify this pic with a 1 vote?

Fair enough.

But still, they have much higher than average ratings. Very high, actually. There are very few pictures on this site with a rating above 8.0.



Like I said previously... Some people don't like dildos. Some will rate low because of the presence of a male. Some if you can't see their face. Some if you can't see their ass...

But eventually, it comes out in the wash.


Case in point. You have an issue with a few of the ratings on that picture, but overall, it's still rated very highly compared to most others. Regardless of our personal opinions of either of those two pictures, the community as a whole - and the people that visit this site as a whole, have made it clear that they like those two pictures.

Overall, the evidence suggests that those are both good pictures and that most people like them.

The people that rated it a one had very little impact at the end of the day, just like the people who rated the pics I linked to earlier a 10.

At the end of the day, the community spoke with a few hundred votes, and the two pictures you've linked to are good pictures that most people want to see. That's what this community said about those two pictures. They want to see those pictures.

Likewise, the pictures I linked to earlier are what this community deems to be bad pictures that most people don't want to see. At the end of the day, the community and the people who visit this site spoke. They don't want to see those pictures.


Personally, if I was concerned about membership, page hits, and participation dropping off... I'd listen to them.

With the 1 votes she is rated at 6.76 (fairly average score) but without the 1 votes she is a 7.76. Thats one whole point higher!

All I'm saying is that the rating system needs to be repaired before any other changes are made. There is no good reason why this last pic I posted should be rated so low, other than guys just too lazy to move the mouse over to 7 or 8. If people really believed she was under a 7, then there would be a substantial amount of 2 through 6 votes, which there isn't. Its either people being lazy, or people being jerks.

I vote "1" on occasion for two reasons. First, fat is never beautiful. Forget the stupid talk about "curves". That is pure BS. FAT is gluttony....never an attractive human feature. I also vote "1" occasionally when I see a lady who is, in my personal opinion, being over rated. Example- plastic titties get an automatic 1.... if I take the time to vote at all.

But I also vote an automatic "10" if I think the lady's beauty is being under appreciated.

Beauty is all personal and I have no problem with the existing system. It's flaws are inconsequential and after all, does any of this really matter ????

My last thought on it. If the girl is a legit 1, then fine...but none of the examples I posted are examples of a 1. If you don'r like clothed pictures, fine...don't vote.

(Btw, when I first joined the site, I voted all 10s and 1s. - The 10s were for all of my pictures (back when you could vote on your own pictures) and the ones were for everyone else. that was pointless, but it made me feel good for a few weeks. lol)

If I remember well, this problem was already talked about in this thread too when Diz asked for some system to prevent people from always voting low/high scores. I'm pretty sure this kind of system will be in place in the next version of WBW, so that automatic 1/10 should not be a problem in the future.

But as Tarquin said, there always be some 1 rates for certain type of pictures depending on members tastes.
It's just impossible to automatically control such things because it's not systematic, even if the picture don't deserve a 1. We can't forbid someone to put a 1 on a high rated pic if it's his opinion, just like we can't forbid someone to upload his wife/self pics just because it's not very beautiful for the masses.

In the grand scheme of things though, the 1s don't have any impact. If we use a system that accounts for how this picture measures up against the other pictures, instead of "should it be closer to 10" - then we're fine.

This picture is probably in the top 60%, if not higher, of ratings for this site, which is probably about where it ought to be.

As long as we continue to compare "what this picture is rated as compared to other pictures" then it's not an issue, because all pictures on this site suffer from the same ass-hattery.

Measure the pic ratings against each other and it's an even playing field. Measure them against "What it OUGHT to be on a 10 point scale" and that's where we get into trouble.

Fact is, this pic is rated higher than... probably 60% or more of the pictures on this site. It's a good picture.

It's one of the better pics on the site and that becomes evident when we compare the score of this picture to the score of other pictures, but we won't see that if we just look at it on a 10 point scale.

Compare the pics to the other pics, not to some arbitrary scale, and it's right where it probably ought to be.

Yes I agree. Everyone can vote on a pic from 1 - 10. That pics score is then compared to all the other pics, and is given a ranking of " 98 percentile... 75 percentile..." etc when it is displayed. Then we don't have to worry about the asses that vote arbitrarily because they do it across the board anyway. So when you look up the top babes you are truly getting a score that reflects the view of all the members. For example a pic that has a voter score of 7.8 would be displayed as a top 93%.

So maybe the answer is instead of us trying to fix the rating system (which is a very difficult item to address) we should simply change the way we display the results.
