I don't think any of us want that.

I don't think deleting the lowest 1% of pics in the database is really going to have that impact, Sugarpie.

We're not talking about purging all but the top pics. We're not even talking about half of the pics. Really, we're not even talking about 10% of the pics.

It's one in one hundred. The worst 1% on the site.

No one's talking about making this a "supermodel only" site. We're just talking about clearing up some broken dishes, so that we can actually cook a meal.

There IS a happy medium here someplace. Where exactly it is, I don't know. I do know that we're nowhere near it currently though.

But that's just it. You say "we're no where near it". Suggesting that 1% isn't enough...is 2...5....10%?

By opening the door to censoring pics it could lead to that. And I for one don't want that.

I don't think WBW should be in the business of determining what is or isn't attractive and worthy of being posted.


I like the idea of being able to filter what you view by rating, so that people have more options in seeing only what they want to see, and I think that addresses the crux of the issue being raised here without being too draconian.

I also don't think that we should use our memebers' voting skills as the arbiter of what is and isn't "quality." No offense, but lots of what I see getting high votes around here wouldn't get a second look from me, while there are plenty of pictures of women (usually fully clothed) who are VERY attractive, yet only have scores in the 4-6 range.

I really don't think it's our business to tell people what they should perceive as attractive, and it's better that people get to look at whatever they like, so long as it's not illegal or against the rules.

I thought I would give you a heads up that the pics may be of his woman, before you took a 3rd shot at that specific upload. The first time you were nice (bad lighting, make-up was off, not trying to question the beauty of a person). Then you started wondering who would ever like that pic (maybe his mom, long lost love).

I get your point. You think a lot of the uploads are bad quality and would like to see them deleted.

My constructive idea for you ... skip the pics you don't like, and enjoy the pics you do like.

I didn't take any shots at his girl. I even went out of my way to express that I wasn't passing judgment on the chick, but rather on the picture as a whole.

I don't actually care if the site does anything about the quality control or not. I've got other sources of pictures and I still come here for the forums. That's probably not going to change any time soon.

It ain't my site, I don't get a vote, I can't impose my will, and I really just kind of have to go along with whatever the powers that be decide.

I really don't care. It's not my problem.



The reality is though, that quality matters. Membership and popularity has decreased. Do something about it, don't do something about it... That's not my pony to train in either case.

I'm just pointing out that it does indeed have an impact.

Whatever you guys decide to do about it (if anything at all) is up to you. I was just pointing it out.

Nah, I love you guys. I love being part of the community. I love the forums and I have a lot of pals here. I ain't leaving. I'm just saying I browse other galleries instead of this one, and that those who aren't as emotionally attached to this place as me might be more inclined to leave - or not create an account here to begin with.

And, personally, I would have re-upped my membership if the vid player and movies worked on my iPad.

Here's a suggestion that doesn't have anything to do with the pictures.


Could we have separate settings for how many pictures and videos we seen in a gallery?

I have my pictures set to 200 per page, but then that carries over to the movies, and that's too many. I wish I could keep the pictures at 200 per page, but keep my movies one to about 50 or so.

Is that possible?

I was also wondering before how the quality of the site could be improved. The main thing bothering be was the quality of the pictures for non-sponsor member. Not speaking about subjective quality of a picture but the quality of its compression. But as Diz-X already said he would improve that, that's not a problem for me anymore.
About subjective quality of the picture, I like to think that I can have surprise from underrated pics and it happens and that's what make WBW different from other site.
When I want to see only fit babes etc. I can choose to go elsewhere but I always go back here for some reasons (although I'm not sentimentally attach to the site as I'm merely new).

I think Sugar's idea is the best compromise between censoring pics and doing nothing.
So that's why I support the idea to be able to filter pictures by rating.

Also could it be possible, as someone already said to be able to see the picture were I rated "x" or/and be able to sort favourites in categories.

It's possible if Diz-X just add a field in the settings database so that we have "pics/page" and "vids/page" fields instead of "whatever_content/page".
(I must be wrong but I suppose it works like that).

Anyway, yes, that would at least help. It'd be very beneficial if it applied throughout the site however. For example, if I go to the "cute babes" gallery and just browse through that archive (as I sometimes do now), I'd like it to apply there as well.

It should also apply on the front page in terms of which thumbs are displayed for recently uploaded and featured babes.

That's probably where it's most important actually, as it's the first thing a visitor sees, so if it's not appealing they often won't delve much deeper.

Further, it should default to a rating of say... 6 or more so that if people are brand new and aren't familiar with the feature, they're still not getting the pics that might drive them away from the site. If they then poke around long enough to find they can broaden that range and they want to do so, super. They can do that. Having it default to a fairly decent rating would certainly help our "first impression" for those that haven't already changed their settings to what they want, however.

That was me too.

Another thought .... when rating pics I find ppl that post / upload pics I like so I go to their page and check out their uploads and favs. I would be "nice" (this may be to database intensive) to then see the top rated pics buy this user, starting from the top and working down.

Im not sure what kinda db structure you are using or I could offer some input (I have a BS in Management Computer Systems)
