I feel kind of shitty, actually, because I've been right there complaining with Honda and Bangs, and almost feel like I'm being a dick for not quitting as well. And I totally understand where they're coming from...I mean, was just given most of Latino's old responsibilities, and am on (at least now, until school starts) an awful lot, so I hoped I could try to help bring back some of the moderation/participation, etc, that Bangs rightly claims was so missing all this time. In light of all this, I'm not sure it matters. I certainly don't bring the threadz and whatnot like Honda, so, without him and Bangs, I'm not sure what the point is, other than to just do the daily modding of things.

I think we all know that the Dutchie crew is relatively hands off, with regard to the daily forums and the suggestions and the office threads and the like. And that's kind of just always been the way it is. It doesn't make it right, and it doesn't make it any less frustrating - it's just one of those things that you know sucks, but you deal with it because you have to - like meeting your gf's parents or something.

I don't blame either of them for their feelings, and, like I said, have had the same feelings myself, quite often over the last year+. They're totally justified in feeling the way they do. Now, by all rights, Diz has every right to run the site in whatever way he feels is appropriate - he owns it, so his word is final; however, I think it's in his best interest to recognize the discontent that his style of management breeds, and the repercussions of such. Will there still be a site with dead forums? Probably. But without good moderation, active forums, a few intelligent members, and the like, people will spend much less of their time here, participate less, and, in the end, spend less money on the site. It's in everyone's best interests to address this on the administrative end, and not just ignore it or whatever.

I'm in a weird spot, in that I feel like I owe some loyalty to Diz for the crew status, and definitely to Fefe and Loz for my position here; but at the same time, being honest with myself means that I can't just shut up and tow the "meh" company line. And, like I said, I kind of feel like almost a sell-out or something (well, more accurately a "volunteer-out" ) because of the new position/responsibilities. I just don't know how any of this can be resolved in a productive manner. Maybe it won't ever be, and that's just one of those things that dumb people like to say, "It is what it is."

I read once, that if you place a bee in a glass jar for a period of time, it will constantly smack its head into the walls of the jar trying to fly around, but after a while, it'll stop trying. And the thing is, after this point, even if the jar is removed, the bee still won't try to fly. He's given up.

Sometimes being a forum-participating moderator WBW makes you feel like that bee.

I totally agree that this site has a TERRIBLE and INCONSISTENT method of dealing with repeat offenders. As for Bang being punished for banning SydneySinbad, that was ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Sydney had been warned about posting Pro movies repeatedly, and often. There's a solid record of Sydneys violations in the BMF forum by way of moderator edits, in the BMF warning thread, and in the user abuse log. Additionally, I still have small pile of PM warnings (and guidance) about what he was posting. There's a reason why all the movie mods hate him, he's just an idiot when it comes to being able to recognize movie sets, light plants, and 3rd party cameramen in video. He knew he was on the brink of a ban, so did all the other mods who read all the office threads and user abuse notes. Sydney even started a thread in BMF to whine about receiving a stern warning, and said he wasn't going to post movies anymore (screencap available), unfortunately he couldn't even do that right. I'm sure it was my office thread complaining that Sydney TOTALLY IGNORED a preemtive warning that prompted Bangels to ban him. Sponsor or not, the impending ban was well announced, and completely justified. If upper management wants to be involved... then BE involved, but please stop overruling the mods without at least reading the relevant topics and/or allowing the mods to explain why they acted as they did.

2) I'm not really going to comment on the community/membership thing. I'm pretty much here for the porn, so while I recongnize that Bang, Honda, and Lindros have been working hard in that area, I don't share their passion. On the other hand, there's no question that Diz is concerned about declining membership/revenue, so to ignore an entire thread full of suggestions seems a bit messed up.

3) Yeah, the movie gallery is teeming with girls under 18. I kinda took an "I don't care" position after V6 was release and once again there were no queue upload limits, and no tools what-so-ever to deter or control repeat offenders. I'm not saying I started approving bad movies, but I did basically stop modding movie which meant that Diz does more. The simple fact is that Diz is far more lenient with what he allows in the movie gallery than any "regular" mod who has to be accountable for their performance. So be it, I still delete the most blatant stuff, but God help us all if the FBI ever takes a look.

4) Pretty much the same as #1. Either you respect, appreciate, and trust the mods, or you don't. The decision to un-ban Sydney had nothing to do with whether he was banned justly or not, or how often he broke the rules, or how blatantly he broke the rules, he was unbanned because he sends money. Finances aside, that pretty rotten for the mods who have to deal with members who realize they're above the rules.

@ Bang & Honda, maybe you can just say "fuck it", and enjoy the site for what it is, an imperfect system that's falling far short of it's full potential. It took me a long time to realize it, but the harsh truth is that no matter how good your intentions are, and no matter how valid your points are, the one person who has to concur, probably won't.

Basically this is what you guys are saying: I have done pretty much everything wrong, and haven't been around enough... You are all right in this department I haven't been myself for over a couple of years now. Lost a lot of trust in a lot of people, because they screwed me over (for example: Senja, and recently Jason). Even lost my will to live the past couple of years, sometimes haven't got the energy to do stuff correctly.

You guys are right, it's time for change. I have been a shitty leader, and maybe I should step up. You guys have always worked hard to keep this site alive and without out you this site would already gone down the drain.

diz, i know that no one is saying that youve done everything wrong. if that were the case you wouldnt have any moderators working for you at all.

i think all of the things basically up to the fact that we want you to be around more, and that you should listen to our input and put the good ideas into action.... let us help you make and keep this site amazing.

Again, I have failed in this badly. I have a lot of respect for all you guys, and there is no excuse for not being there and not listing to you guys. I just wish I had more energy in my life again, my head is basically one big mess.

Just remember, if you love the site like you say, you still have more of a chance to fix it if you stay then if you leave, regardless if you are always paid attention to or not

I am willing to talk this out and trying to recreate new rule sets,.. I think change is good, we are in a crisis and we need to set things straight to get out of it. Hopefully Honda and Bang still want to talk, else I am going to talk this out with EL/Fefe/Kanzen and the rest.

This could be really exciting. I hope that it will not prove to be too little too late. Honda and Bang are definitely a big part of this site and it would be a big blow to lose them. And that is not what WBW needs right now.

I myself have not been a overly active MOD, I come and moderate pictures and post the occasional thread. But I do have the potential to be more active and something like this could just be the motivation I need.

When I first came to this site it was the porn that brought me here but it was the activity in the forum that made me stay. Back then there was tons of it and not just by the staff. I would love to see those days return! I would love to see activity in all the boards, thoughtful and intriguing threads that elicit genuinely impulsive and tantalizing responses.

I miss the days of heated debates within threads and maybe it does occasionally occur and I am missing it but if I am it is because the threads are quickly dieing out. And to be honest I have become too lazy to search them out so I dont know what to do about that.

I look forward to the site being taken off auto pilot and some serious and meaningful changes taking place.

Honda and Bangs: Please stick around, we need you here you both have original and inspiring ideas that can lift this place back to where it used to be.

Diz: I know that you have reasons to have trust issues with what has happened in the past, but WBW is bigger then just you so you cant do it all on your own. You have a great staff and you have to take the time to listen to what they have to say and act upon it. I think you are coming to realize it now I truly hope you act upon it.

In the pecking order of things I am pretty low here but I hope what I have said makes some sense.

I hope that you guys can talk and create new rules that everyone uses..

if you would like to have a group msn chat with myself, lindros, and kanzen im sure we could make that happen to get a basic outline of anything major that we think needs to change

afterwards however id like to start a thread with the basic idea of everything so we can get everyones input before anything is changed, if we're going to do it then it should definitely be a majority and not just the opinion of a few. im sure there are a lot of mods who would really like to have a say. picture mods, forum mods, movie mods, comment mods.... we all have to deal with our own unique bullshit.
