While not confirming or denying the possiblity of a magazine project. Due to manufacturering pricing color pages could be out of the realm of possiblity in terms of affordability. Would you purchase a printed WBW created magazine if it was in black and white, at about $7-8.00 USD price range?

Between 88-110 pages possibly.

i think it be a great way to have a piece of wbw at home in shape of a magazine..

1. will it be B&W glossy?
2. Type of content that would come with it?
3. how often will it be released?


i know weve spoken about all this, but i just want to get the ball rolling on questions and ideas from everyone.

How would said magazine be distributed? Purchased on line, or at your local newstand?

1. The cover is matte and the pages are probably matte as well.
2. Exclusive pictorial sets, reviews (games, movies, gadgets, cars, music, etc.), previews (games, movies, gadgets, cars, music, etc.), guides (how-tos), questions and answers, editorials, interviews, etc. Think of it as a more rounded Maxim magazine.
3. Quarterly most likely. Once every three months.

@ Daggett: Online purchase, global shipping.

is there a posibility for online PDF version or something, otherwise some people may have to pay shipping etc..

its a good idea for those who want to support the site but cannot afford a sponser star

*edit - i'm sure with the knowhow of mods you'll be able to encode it and by the time some one starts handing them out for "free" someones bound to have the common decency to let you mods know

PDF would be too easily pirated, negating the purpose of creating the magazine.

There are no current methods of DRM with eBooks that are available to us. And the idea of using DRM makes my skin crawl because it takes away the consumers rights.

Get it into the hands of all of our country's troops, then it will seed there and spread around the globe, plus, when the troops get back home and their buddies see the magazine, they will think "this guy is soooo cool and has this crazy magazine I've never seen before.......man, i got to get this book."

shame about not getting an online model, maybe just have a mod in each country send them the PDF version and then they distribute it within their own region that cuts down shipping costs... the more mods you have in a country the more you just divide the country up so less work..

^^ brings up another 2 good points even though u have already explained them kinda... not trying to put this magazine idea down its a decent idea for a magazine and revenue just running through all the alternatives

Although I am sure many of the well-meaning members would like to actually purchase a magazine subscription, I am skeptical of what sort of success you would actually have.

Think of how few people bother to get a Sponsor's membership, and that is truly a bargain. A Maxim subscription (or FHM) costs me $12.00 a year (12 issues). Playboy costs me $19.99 a year (12 issues). By comparison, I dont see the market for a $7-$8 magazine printed on matte finish unless it truly has something that cannot be obtained anywhere else.

Maybe 55 pages of the latest spam, a gay version of "Letters to Penthouse" written by Jolly, Jack's monthly rant to the editor (or about the editor) and an updated list of all the girls we AREN'T allowed to mention here?

If you really want to sell copies, get Lilrika, Mistral, HB and a few others to pose for the centerfold bare-ass naked in all their glory. You could save printing costs and leave out all the articles!

It seems the idea of exclusive pictorial sets for the magazine isn't being acknowledged. These pictorials wouldn't be the casual submitted files from users. These would be high resolution images (300dpi+) from an actual WBW paid photoshoot. The other material in the magazine wouldn't be stuff you actually find here.

For those of you wondering how much a color copy would cost: It would be between 3.5 and 4 times as much. Color pages cost more to print. Even then it would cut the magazine's profit margins down to near 50¢ per issue sold.

i already mentioned to kanzen that i thought it had a lot of downfalls. id love to be able ti sit and read a wbw magazine when im somewhere waiting for an appointment or in the car on a long drive... like wbw you can take with you where you dont normally have your computer

but with the price of the magazine AND in shipping.. AND it being in black and white, i dont think there could be much to be offered that you couldnt find here. this is a porn site and the MAIN reason people join is for the porn... which people can get for free here, plus we cant put the videos that paying members get which seem to be the highlight of the sponsorship onto paper.

Its not about rehashing the content here. For some reason people seem to think it is, but it isn't. It's new and exclusive content to the magazine. The magazine IS NOT GOING TO REVOLVE AROUND PORN. Its going to be a mix of gaming, technology, how tos (men's recipies for food, computer tips and tricks, gaming tips, etc.) Think of it as a mix of playboy, electronic gaming monthly, MaximumPC, MacAddict, and etc.

i guess my only hope is that it will be slightly more geared towards women as well, at least a couple articles and some things

it would be nice if it was something that i might enjoy to read as well, or maybe there might a a couple of articles and things that couples might enjoy both reading

even being bisexual and a huge computer geek, with the sounds of that i probably wouldnt buy it
