@ Citizenpain - well like its been stressed, it wouldnt revolve around porn, it would be mostly other things. if shes that gorgeous then she shouldnt feel threateneed, especially by a picture of a girl you dont even know. just relay that to her and tell her to grow up im sure itll be ok :P

Decent idea, but take a hint from the success of the radio show, about 2 or 3 people listened. It's not worth your time, I apologize for being blunt, but it's the truth.

An online magazine could be interesting. Maybe we could have memeber interviews and debates? Who knows. Member profile and interviews would be mildly interesting.

The base price for manufacturing a single copy is about $5. Each page adds few more cents towards production costs. In order to make enough money to be able to pay off the model, and actually have a slim profit margin towards WBW self the price has to be raised a little. Maxim can do such things because they have massive amounts of advertising. Ever notice how many ads actually go in magazines these days? PCWorld alone is half ads, for each page of actual content, there is a page of advertisement.

As popularity of the [WBW] magazine would grow, our market for advertisers will also. As advertisers come in, we will be able to lower the price over time. Its the same way most media work. Television for example, you pay a fee of say $30 a month for 80 channels. Operation cost alone would mean they would have to raise your bill maybe three times over if not for advertisement.

As it stands now, we have absolutely no advertisement. And I'd hope to keep the content to ad ration 4-5:1. For each five pages of actual content, one page of ads. Thats virtually unheard of in magazines that sell under the $8 mark.

Don't you think putting it on newstands would help it out. Meaning more people would see it an possible grab WBW the Mag instead of Maxim or watever else

It's not about WBW. Its about WHAT BOYS WANT. Games, girls, gadgets, all that stuff, not the people who inhabit WBW or what they are doing.

actually when it was at its prime and artie was able to do it every Friday and Saturday it had a lot of listeners, but that wasnt wbw related... it was just a member of ours chatting about whatever

it wasnt about what boys really want, it was just a talk show about stuff, and stuff going on at wbw at the time


the magazine wouldnt be anything like that, so you cant make an accurate judgment by that

If we were given $15K to work with we could produce about 5,000 copies and be able to charge about $5 for an issue. But 5,000 issues is still not enough to even cover a single magazine district.

It's all about baby steps.

You have to start off small and your way up. Think of Playboy, it started off small and grew by a loyal fanbase.

The problem is, companies are in the business to make as much money as possible. They are not going to give us something for free, and if we do enter into a business contract with them it will compromise our integrity. I would rather not have WBW owe some other company.

Nah I agree with both of you of not wanting to give control to another company, but I mean just get some small online business's to pay into the magazine to advertise their product, I'm sure there are tons of products people would want to sell in the magazine, take for example like "the Flesh Light" or whatever, get what i'm saying? iuno, just a thought.
