I am using Windows 7 Home Premium x64. A friend of mine bought a new Dell Studio 17 Notebook and got the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade disc but he gave it to me so I am using it. Internet Explorer 8 keeps messing up so I use Firefox now. Way better! I do like Ubuntu but I bought Modern Warfare 2 and games seem to run better on Windows. I like Windows 7 but it's basically a tweaked version of Vista.

I have an older Dell Dimension desktop that i'm currently running the Gnome version of PCLinuxOS. i've been using Linux exclusively on this computer since i said goodbye to XP 2 years ago. i started with Mepis 6.5 in late 2007, running the Gnome and Xfce desktops. i'm not a big fan of the KDE desktop and i don't care for the Konqueror file manager in the least but i do like a lot of the packages installed with it. i've tried several distros over the past year - Parsix, Sidux, Ubuntu, CentOS, Mint, and a couple others before finally settling with PCLinuxOS back in Sept. the main reasons i got away from Windows altogether was their ridiculous auto updates which i hate, and having to need different software or a particular program for this or that. for example, when i dumped windows, i had 5 media players and 4 instant messenger programs installed, on Linux i have 2 media players and Pidgin got IMing. i guess the biggest thing i like about Linux over windows is the freedom of choice. i'm not a gamer so leaving windows was no big deal.

I have Windows Vista on my Laptop, Windows 7 on my Desktop and the newest version of Ubuntu on my desktop as well. I find the cube configuration in Ubuntu to be hella handy when having to open like 12 documents and edit shit.

MacBook (kid): OSX Snow Leopard
Mac Mini: OSX Snow Leopard Server
Reason: Switched from Windows to Macs when they went to Intel, couldn't stand keeping Windows a) running and b) secure.
Firewall: OpenBSD 4.0, 'cuz it's bulletproof
Web Server: FreeBSD 7.0, best for I/O
Building a new server to handle firewall and web server on FreeBSD 7.2 using jails

I just got Ubuntu installed on my laptop via wubi. It's installed as a dual boot, but I've been using linux more than windows lately.

Windoze XP and Linux Xandros dual boot. I still use XP but it will be my last M$ OS.
I have Ubuntu on a home server. I'm having some hardware issues at the moment. I may have to wait until Santa helps me out.
My son has PCLinux on one of his machines and likes it. I'll probably go with that eventually.
