Ok so here we go with the initial test results... (drumroll)

Push ups - 100
So I'm done with that one.

Sit ups - 50
I probably could've eeked out a few more but I quit at 50 cause they wouldn't have been too "smooth" after that.

Squats - 67
I don't really work my legs out at all except running on a treamill so I was actually surprised I scored in the "excellent" range.

I think I probably could've done more of everything if I wasn't counting. Counting always fucks me up and wears me out sooner.

Sound cool, but I'm pretty bad at maintaining regiments I already do some non-intensive weight lifting and run several miles each week, but I've never liked pushing myself to exhaustion. I know about where I'm at on pushups, but like Swiss, I've never tested myself on situps or squats. Out of curiousity, I did 50 of each while on break just to see roughly where I'm at, but I'll do a proper initial test later when I'm not working.

Maybe if hot.girl.mod made a youtube vid in some sexy work out gear to show us how it's done we'd get more members participating. Nothing inspires men to work out like working out with hot girls.

I did see the 3 days a week thing after I started reading into it more so that's cool. I'm sure I can update 3 days a week.

Based on initial test, I started at Wk4 Day3 for Push-Ups, and Wk3 Day1 for Sit Ups. I'm going to forgo the squats as I'm much more interested in upper body strength, and also to give myself a better chance of staying motivated to complete the first two.

Push Ups: 123 Total, Final Set: 31
Sit-Ups: 117 Total, Final Set: 27

so Bangles messaged me about this and said I should try... i start vball soon again and am terribly out of shape so figured i should give it a try. wasnt going to until the weekend but that kind of attitude is what got me so out of shape in the first place lol.. so initial try is

PU - 11
SU - 16
SQ - 25

could have eeked out maybe 2 or 3 more in each but figured there was a limit where form and stamina in the workout is egging and thats about where you should stop

Click the links The program has a goal of achieving 100 consecutive push ups, but it consists of sets to build up to that goal.

I haven't done a proper push-up since last October when I managed to tear something in my shoulder, and although I used to run and cycle, I haven't done anything like that since the shoulder injury either. My level of fitness shocked my, although frankly I don't know why it should.

I'll start Day 1 properly after Darling has finished the UK budget.

I'm at the same place as you are for sit-ups, but I'm thinking I started too high because I struggled with the minimum on the last set Tuesday, and my abs are still aching today. Did you see how many sit ups are added each day in column 3? My belly is going to be on fire.

I kinda screwed up and was doin full sit ups when I did my initial test. I didn't read the site very well. They want you doin more of a crunch without moving your legs and not coming up higher than a 35 degree angle. I probably would've done a lot more in my initial test if I wasn't doing full sit ups which made my back hurt more than my abs

I usually do crunches with my legs in movement which are a lot harder so I'm actually finding these to be pretty easy now.

Hang in there, Brownell, hopefully with a little rest your abs will chill out and be ready for another day, they do add more on pretty quickly. If all else fails go back and start on week 2 maybe. I'm rootin for ya.

Yeah, I actually have had to take a break to recuperate cause doing the squats kinda wrecked me.
I want to do all three at the same time, which also means that I had to stop doing the other challenges.

But, I'll hit them up later tonight, or tomorrow, I think. Once I can walk up and down stairs. lol

@swiss- Yeah, I've been doing real sit-ups also. Crunches just seem... meh.

And yeah, squats are weird...

Doing the push ups alone made my abs burn... so much so that I couldn't do a single military style sit up... NOT EVEN ONE. However, I was still able to do good form crunches without much discomfort, so I did those instead, but I stopped short of exhaustion on the last set to avoid fucking up that range of ab motion as well. I'll see how I feel in 2 days, but if I can't do regular sit ups by then, I'm going to take a long break from this program and re-start the sit up portion much lower when I'm completely recovered from whatever's going on.

Though I'm beginning to seriously despise Bangles for making me do this... today was my "day 1" For the push ups IT I did 11 but due to soreness for my recovery days still pretty bad i opted to go with the middle column instead of the 3rd and it seems to be pushing me well. Anyways W1 D1 results:

PU- 6/6/4/4 max 8
SU- 9/9/6/6 max 10
SQ- 8/8/5/5/ max 20

d2 for me is monday as im doing mon. wed. fri but fri being day 1. so i guess ill see you all then? haha ^^
