it will ruin the freindship as afterwards 1 of u will want more than the other is willing to commit
I'd say it all depends on maturity and state of mind. When I was younger any sex could lead to infatuation because back then people attached so much importance to sex 'meaning' something, so you had sex, a fumble or whatever and you assumed the other person 'liked' you in some way and you might have something (which would of course lead to more sex). Somewhere along the way my eyes opened and I realised that sex could be largly just fun and recreational in itself without any meaning whatsoever. When I became single it turned out quite a few of my female friends were of a like mind and we'd fuck every now and then, between partners, etc. Just fox sex. Nothing else. And you know what? It worked. The only time it became a bit awkwards was when new partners would enter various people's lives and they didn't have the same open minded attitude towards sex. That's just the way it goes though, and since it's just sex, if you have that open mind, its a non-issue anyway.
I think maturity goes a long way here, and guys are WAY less mature about this during the ages of 18-30 than women are (or at least seem to be).
Im going to have to respectfully disagree having had experience with the situation...I think after 9 years of neither of them wanting more something like that most likely wouldnt change it......as a wise friend once said to me "Friends should be able to have casual sex with other friends, it should be just another one of those friend things"
It only becomes weird if any involved are inmature. Other then that, its just sex, not making love.
i often think back and regret missing an opportunity like this, but i was young and silly thinking that sex was such a big deal.
In my opinion if you are both curious and turned on by the idea of you two hooking up, bj etc then explore it a little more at least.
