The attached picture is not so much a political statement as it is a "Thank You" from the owner of the billboard company. This shot is from Atlanta, Georgia. One of the local Marine from HMLA-773 loved the picture when shown to him and he is no doubt sending it around the Corp. More than anything it's a statement of every Marine I've ever known.

By all means please tell us how the Iraqi people in general react to you and your fellow Marines and other US, British, Polish, Japanese and other forces. This is the one thing that I find lacking with most people, real knowledge of the situation. In other words, tell us what is really happening over there. I have meet several Army, Marine, Air Force and Navy personnel and they all tell the same story and that is that most just don't know what the reality is.

This is awesome and trust me everything in here will be passed on to the guys in my unit and others with this time of year even a simple note in the middle of no where saying "hi" will make the differnce between another day and Christmas,and everyother holiday. Thanks for the support and god bless you for you're thoughts and prayers

Thats were I learnt my law enforment, though I was out before the Iraq dealings I met alot of people who are there now, I have met scout teams that were there before most and most of my dealings were with marines, I will tell you this much, when a person joins the navy you automatically thing the marines are different and well most thnk the navy owns the marines, true the marines derived from the navy but they have beyond blossomed into a elite group of men who time after time has helped protect civilians in the truest time of need.

But it's not about the marines or the navy, it's about all branches doing what they can to help ensire our survival, I feel bad that our troops are overseas yet and again and wish them home not only safly but soon as well, God bless guys and gals, come home soon Thats an order!

Well Petty Officer you hit the nail on the head although I am only stateside for a short time we all do the same job and as much as we butt heads we all are working for the same goal, it's nice to see some people who can relate to what I am looking for. PM me if you ever want to chat some more.

politics aside, good up for you guys going out, defending your country, the free world and helping the Iraqi ppl even if not all of them see it that way. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Being in the Army I have seen a lot of people bad mouthing the military but when they find out that I am in the military they start eating their words. I joined a little after 9/11 and if it wasn't for the Marines, Air Force, Army, Navy, and all military branches the United States wouldn't be the way it is today.

Hit it on the head to. We have a lot of people commited to operations on foriegn soils. Their working together to get the job done ensures mission accomplishment. I wish my fellow service members regardless of if they are Marine Green or not the best of luck and god speed. Congtas on a job well done. And thak everyone for their support it's refreshing from the protestors I saw on the street on christmas day. You guys rock.

While i don't particularly agree with the whole Iraq invasion thing because yadda yadda yadda(preventing a flame war) I do hope for the safe return of all people in the armed services deployed to hostile territory. And i also think that all the bullshit said about you guys from the media and protestors is just that BULLSHIT you guys(i mean ALL military personnel from any country) are serving your country and thats something to be proud of and you shouldn't take the heat for what your commander in chief does
