I am an active duty US Marine and I just got back stateside a few weeks ago and I'm wondering what everyone is thinking about our services. I am still active just stationed over here for now and hey anyone can say whatever you want, it's a free country, that's why I do my job I'm just looking for a little info on what people are thinking. Also I love to answere any questions people have about Marines there are a lot of myths out there and I am just proud of what I am. Let me know what you think and feel free to post your views...I may fight with you about the idea I wont tell you that you cant say something.

I support all armed services and admire the courage of our soldiers. I don`t understand how you or any other soldier has restraint in Iraq to keep from shooting everyone. You don`t know who is the enemy and who isn`t.I have 3 friends in Iraq and from the stories I have heard from them I would shoot first and ask later.I say to yoy Welcome Home and to the WBW.

Wow thanks all of you guys its awesome to hear everything you guys have said so far being stationed near NYC i hear a lot of shit from people but it definatly makes me feel a hell of a lot better to see that shit isnt the general view. Thanks to everyone and to Bangledesh hell yeah thanks for picking that up...we are not soldiers, saliors or airmen, but we do it all we are MARINES and that is something to be proud of...thanks everyone and any questions are happily answered

oh and my last station was in Iraq I'm on light duty for 3 months I broke my leg on a jump

Ooorahh, you're not the only Devil Dog on here. Signed my DD214 in August good to see another on here and you all are correct in the fact we are not soldiers I spent enough time with them at APG... I fully support our troops, especially the Marines we do what we do because we're that damned good. I'll drop a line in a bit if that's your sn on aim.
