Why can't we all just get along?
I like cats, I prefer dogs. I just think dogs are more unconditional with their affection, and willing to please...therefore tend to have more personality. Cats...are kinda like a hamster that way...they really don't care that much about you....and like what EL posted...there is a good chance they are plotting to kill you.

Yeah....I am some threat to humanity for sure.
I've just had too many neighbors that throught their critter was an extension of their manhood and thought it was funny to sic it on cats. I 've talked with lots of guys who thught that this was quite acceptable.
Fortunately I haven't had the shotgun out in quite a while, but in SoCal there is now a big problem with coyotes ( no...not the smuggling kind..
) taking pets and fortunately too, it is quite legal to plug the little howling fucker if it comes around with kitty on it's breath

@ SP, I love dogs and have had several. I'd have one now if our schedules allowed the time for it. Dogs are very high maintenance animals compared to the largely 'don't give a fook' cats

Ok, that's at least two cats, which means there's a [ Link ].
We get foxes and such in the neighborhood.
My cat is still alive. Others are not.
He used to be a darn good fighter back in his day.
Still has some fight in him whenever a big dog comes near the yard. lol

I'm not a particularly large fan of that mentality. It is barbaric and shows a lack of the most basic levels of empathy and human mental functioning.

The most important question: Was he a cat man or a dog man?
I'm guessing he had a bad ass dog.

That he was completely accountable for.

Uh, I mean, I'm sure he was a good warrior and all, but I think if you asked 100 people to name their list of the world's 100 best men, Plumley would be lucky to get a mention or two.
Of course, you'd probably get a lot of "Dad" answers too, and I'm sure they're likely all wrong, so maybe that's not a scientific way of figuring it out.

Weather cat or dog lover, if you have a pet there is a thing called, responsible pet ownership, which unfortunately a lot of people have no clue about.
