Problem deleting folder.

Alright, So I Was downloading skins for winamp earlier and I came across one I really liked.
So I downloaded right to my desktop. Wher ei save everything I download. So I try to open the folder, I cant It says access denied. I tried deleting it, I cant access denied. I right click go to properties and un chick read only, then try deleting. I cant. Same errors.

Help?

Try to delete it after reboot.

Windows sometimes locks the folder without a reason. Restart your computer and it'll be unlocked.

I tried restarting and it didnt work.

Is it used by some program? Close all the programs and try again. If not, reboot your computer to the error mode and try again.

try starting in dos prompt (windows ME and earlier only) and deleteing it from there

actually if you have norton anti-virus, there should be a tool you can use to start in dos

already check it with antivirus?.....if u cant open..cant delete...hmm.sounds me to virus

I have the exact same problem! The folder seems to be half-way deleted. I can´t move it, I can´t put any files in it, and, strangest of all, I can make a new folder with the same name right next to it!

yeah xp doesn't have the dos start up, try looking around in your norton if you have it

Create a new folder, put the bad folder in there and then try deleting the new folder.

I even tried downloading a Tool thats called unlocker that is suppoused to help dealwitht hese problems.

goto start menu> run; type cmd
type desktop
type rd <folder name>

I went into cmd and typed desktop it says "desktop" is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

sorry type cd desktop

If you have Spybot search and destroy open its Secure Shredder and try dragging the file into it and shred it

just make sure your command line looks like mine and change the foldername porn to whatever the problem folder is
and in case you can't read it it should be c:\Documents and Settings\owner\desktop\rd porn

I tried the CMD Way. It still says access denied.
Going to try spy bot.

Update.

I tried deleting it in safe mode.
then
I tried deleting it in safe mod as the ADMIN.

Still no luck

make sure your winamp is closed when you want to delete the folder.
