not sure which members you've made avatars for but over the last few weeks i've noticed a, well, noticable increase in number of quality avatars. When I made this one i spent 40-50 minutes looking for the pic and another 15-20 getting the lettering halfway decent and fitting it in the red area. if you're doing that repeatedly i've got to give you a lot of credit.

Yours took the longest using the method I did. I wish I knew an easier way to do a grayscale recolor, but I put about four hours of work into yours.

Make a greyscale copy of ya image, then open both images up, drag one ontop of the other, select and remove the bits ya dont want from the coloured image and use colour overlay, with blend mode overlay

Its how i do it, shouldnt really take any longer than 15mins.
