Hey smart guy, did you ever think that he took his salary and then computed the avg. hours he works per week and then came up with a rough estimate of what he is making hourly? Also you don't know people with hourly rates? Have you ever met a lawyer?

I started as a VOLUNTEER firefighter at 16 years of age, NOT for the pay, but because I WANTED to. I graduated high school a year early, VOLUNTEERED to go to Viet Nam by joining the Navy, came home, spent a year on the Washington, DC police department, and, FINALLY, a paid position opened on the fire department. I started risking MY life for Other people for $13,500 a year! I NEVER made more than 30,000 a year until after I made Battalion Chief. After 20 years, and two broken legs from falling through burnt steps, I was making $43500!
I've since retired, but oh yea, I can't draw on my pension until I'm 65 (I'm 55 now) thanks to our "
union" Now I am in another career, still safety related, but certainly NOT risking my ass every day, for 10 grand more than I ever made on the FD. By the way, I have a degree, also. It sure didn't make ME a rich man. But boy, did I have FUN, and enjoyed every minute of it!

our minimum wage here is like 5.15 or something I think
