I'm not sure where you're from but in American you can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want. At University most of us don't have the same Prof. for more than a semester. Every college has Standards of Conduct but as long as there's no obvious impropriety(ie sex for grades) it's rare to see a Prof. get busted. Even if it's common knowledge that he/she is dating a former student.
