Thankfully the first real mission went smoothly enough.

Rk. Desh and Da_X were injured but survived. Desh is out for the bit because he took two plasma shots to the face from a Gray, so I had to bring in a newbie.

Zen: 4 kills, 2 missions.
Dros: 0 kills, 1 mission.
Desh: 0 kills, 1 mission. Wounded.
Da_X: 2 kills, 1 mission.
Omuh: 0 kills, 0 missions.

Seems about right. Need more witches scared though.

Well, Zen died because of bullshit reasons. We were able to save the civilian and bring her back to XCOM. Now the labcoats want to take a Grey live for further investigation. At least Desh is back in action.

So XCOM satelites picked up a UFO trying to clear US airspace. We had a Raven intercept and down the UFO. At the site, the hostiles were still active. Desh was killed in action by a new enemy type made out of energy, he almost made it but bled out. Dros was covering him, but lost his nerve and went beserk. Omuh was able to down three Grays with his sniper rifle, and Da_X got the energy enemy type.

Things are not going well.

With only Da_X active and available, I had to fill out the ranks a bit. A handful of newbies have joined the team. We just got a distress call from India. We need to extract a particular person by the Council's order. Now sure how well it's going to go.

Well it turns out the VIP is a General Doorne. We found him taking refuge from the alien menace on a partially destroyed elevated freeway. Unfortunately Demo did not survive being headshotted by a Thin Man from across the map with no-line of sight. Outside of that, things went well enough.
