Not just email, but your phone number and username. If a person is unwise and happens to use a similar username somewhere else it would make it pretty easy to figure out their location with a phone number. Hell there are a lot of sites that will even give you a name to the phone number for free. You tie that into having a name, a phone number, an email, and a city? It makes it incredibly easy with even basic tools to find a person.

The hack linked your snapchat name and your REAL cell phone number. So people could look up your user name and find your phone number.
