sad to see her go, but the ones who complain also bring up topics to just start shit if you disagree with them, and try to push their beliefs on others and if you disagree you are a racist or biggot or some other name.... it is a lot like the liberal agenda right now, if you disagree you get a label like that. I have seen it a lot more recently lots of topics about isreal, gays, politics etc, and it seems like they just post to try to push their agenda or start shit....

While I agree insults and personal attacks shouldn't be thrown. I feel like a simple "goodbye" isn't going to happen, at least from me, because most of her last posts have been either exaggerating or outright lies. So instead, I'll try to address this as objectively as possible.

First, I agree with her about the state of the site, community wise :
- yes the site need to put more incentive about the community. The forums being less and less active is clearly a sign of this and it's been worked on.
- personal attacks are not allowed on the comments and even though some may say it's not the case, this rule is enforced by the comment mods. If you see a personal attack toward a member that may have slipped through, you can still report it and it will be dealt with
- insults (towards members or content) are not allowed either. However, I'd like to point out that a negative comment isn't necessarily an insult so people are still free to express themselves as long as they aren't derogatory.

Now the tricky part :
- while this is true that some members have been disrespectful or insulting (like in any forum or any place on the internet), lets not forget that SP herself was a heavy user of personal attacks (and ultimately insults) either in the content forums when a thread wasn't to her liking or on the other parts when someone disagreed with her, or worse prove her wrong. So I would be very careful when positioning her as a "victim" of what she blames others here.

- I didn't want to address her other post about the moderating aspect because that wasn't the subject but since she left by accusing how the site is handled and since I'm in charge of the crew, more information is necessary. So she said she left the moderating crew because mods weren't willing to moderated under-age stuff. This is untrue. She did brought the subject internally (which was a good idea) and the problem was more mods being inactive than mods not wanting to remove under-age content. But then she asked for professional content that looked to young to her liking to be removed even if the model was proven to be 18+. She also announced that she would be overstepping her moderator role whether others mods agreed or not. This is when some mods (including myself) stepped up that she raged and left.

I hope this will not turn into a drama thing because this isn't the purpose. But instead it should clarify some points.
There is still stuff that could be improved, moderation wise, and I'm still thinking about that but if you have any good suggestion, feel free to post here, or the feedback forum or even send me a message.

With respect to this thread, I don't really care what her posts were in other places. If she's leaving, and saying goodbye in this thread, and she didn't insult anyone in her goodbye post (other than to say she thinks there are a lot of jerks on WBW, but naming nobody specifically), I hope people have the maturity to do the same here. Leave drama from other threads there.

Nobody has painted anyone as a victim here, as far as I can tell. SP doesn't like the way the forums have evolved, so she is leaving and told us why. A few people in this thread have been disrespectful, and I've addressed that.

Some people might see that as taking a principled stand. Standing up for what you believe to be "the right thing" isn't something I'm prepared to get all upset about. But again, that's not really relevant here as she didn't talk about that as a reason why she's leaving the site. She also mentioned things like inaction and apathetic moderation/ownership, and I think there's something to that. Hell, there's a moderator of this specific forum who nobody's been in contact with, online or off, for the better part of a year, and was inactive and absent for most of the previous year.

@EL : the main point of my post was too 1) respond to people having interrogations towards how the site is handled in general and 2) clear out some stuff SP said before leaving. The "negative VS derogatory comment" part was addressing the first point. It wasn't directed at this thread in particular (sorry if it wasn't clear in my post). I just wanted to assure members who might think that we let people be insulting, whether it be on the forums or on the galleries, that it's not the case. But at the same time, wanted to remind others that people are still free to give their opinion even if it's negative (this is especially true for the galleries).

The moderation part was evoked by SP in Mih's thread but it would have been off-topic to respond here. While she didn't talk about that again here, that's still something that remains in people mind and I couldn't let her say that some of the crew was ok with under-aged content. So I clarified it. It can also show people that there is always two sides to a story.

You're right about your last point about the moderation part. I'll send you a PM about that.

As the old saying goes "If you can't anything good about some one don't say any thing at all",,also "do unto others..etc.".Any way she never said or did any thing to me or my post. Others here have called me a liar,,and accused me of stealing pictures (however you do that on here),,that is one reason I quit posting in the lounge and also didn't post any pics for a long time. I've been around for quite awhile (like 7 years or so) and just recently started posting pics again since the people I was having trouble with have seemed to have left or changed their names. I think she resented the fact ( ya, fact) that he turned everything into a personal blog. Which I found really disgusting. I am sure that he saw it as initiating a provocative and stimulating subject but a blog is typically about the ego of the blogger and it was really foul. It's not about throwing gasoline on the fire and it's not about ego. It...speaking of the panel....is about expressing a position and letting it develop.

I will miss her badly and to those who found her to be difficult such as Omuh did.........what have any of you done to keep things as interesting and fun as she did ? The Lounge was her finest forum though and I always found her to be great fun.

Now, you peeps want a better forum, any of them ? Then step up and contribute ! Whining about it's demise is just so wussy.

in the past I have tried many times to join in the forums but could never get past only one comment on whatever the subject matter was..it always seems like the biggest percentage of the members that participate in the forums must hold several college degrees as they all seem to know everything about everything and in their minds they are the only ones in the discussion that know anything.. there just isn't any fun in the forums anymore so I usually don't go there...
