Goodbye from Sugarpie

After some thoughts the past few weeks, and annoying conversation from self centred egotistical jerks, I've decided that I no longer want to be part of this community.

I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be fun here...even with the odd jerk, it was still fun. You could have disagreements with people and it generally still stayed civil...name calling and belittling didn't happen. Respecting others opinions even though you didn't agree with it was the norm...now its rare. I'll be the first to admit that I have an opinion, and it sometimes doesn't align with others, but I don't attack others intelligence, I don't shit all over their ideas, I don't pick apart their post taking words and sentences out of context to make them look dumb or strengthen my argument. In short, many of the remaining contributing members (to the forums) are jerks.

I can't blame just the members though. Direction of how this site is run come from the top...or should I say lack of direction? I understand that the sites popularity is waining, but there needs to be some interaction from ownership to moderators from time to time. Mods are too comfortable in their positions, and the new ones don't actually get any real direction on how to do their job. The direction they do get has been watered down over the years based on rules written a decade ago, with changes and updates that were never properly documented. (eg: Is this how we handle that? I don't know, I think the rule changed a couple years ago, but I can't remember for sure)

The only reason I'm saying anything is because I used to like this site...I've spent a lot of time on this site and met some great people here. I hate that its become a site that I don't enjoy anymore. I would love to see things change for the better, and it would suck to see this place get worse and eventually die. I don't think anyone here wants to see that...but its going to happen if things don't change.

Goodbye to those of you that I've talked to in the past. To the owners and mods, good luck...I hope you can fix this place, it'd be a shame to see it good.

It's a sad day when we loose a top member like Sugarpie.
Although I don't hang out in the forums much. I know exactly how she feels and have many of the same complaints.
The rudeness of this community has got to stop. It doesn't matter if it is in the forums or comments in the babes. It only degrades the entire site.
The ownership and mods need to take a good hard look at how this site is ran and start chastising those who are degrading it by being rude.
Yes we all have our opinions but we all came to this site for the same reasons. So being rude to each other benefits no one.
As the site rapidly approaches one million members. ....I hope the owners and mods use this milestone as an opportunity to make the much needed improvements.

I have always been for respectful again each other. Having a different opinion isn't a reason to attack somebody else. Only thing we can do is look into this and find out what we can improve if needed.

Wow! Sugarpie is one of the worst offenders in the personal attacking business. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. A good Moderator stood up to her and edited out the profane attack this time. But she isn't the only rude person on here but one of the over the top attackers. I just don't like personal attacks, insults, rudeness in general and don't do it. Really a full time job to change a forum culture one post at a time. Zero tolerance. Not sanitize the forum but people shouldn't be called asshole, idiots, morons, losers etc. I think Omuh has the right idea

I've been coming to this site for a few years, and I don't involve myself in forum politics...but really. ..it's a site dedicated to sexy stuff..do we really need to bring drama into it? We should have left that behind in highschool

We should have left behind Jackin in High school too. I don't think the problem is content. I think the problem is that some take forums way too seriously. If it upset you then cut the computer off for awhile and go out and get some fresh air or better yet go jack haha

I agree with what Sugarpie is saying there have been a lot of heated words on the more serious topics.

Thing is that you have to understand when someone attacks you personally it's very hard to ignore and that turns into a tit for tat. I reference the last article about Israel instead of people having and accepting differing view people started swearing and demeaning people with views different from theirs, I was surprised that no mod had stepped in

You were one of the worst instigators in that thread, Cheese.

I agree it was passionate I did at one point get very angry but only after the personal attack by another member. If I recall I was also the only one who apologised if I had caused offence (except to that one user who I just plain didn't like :p)

It's true that you apologized in one instance. That's true.

After you had made several statements, you offered an apology to one person. Granted, that's also more than anyone else usually does, but one apology does not cover all 20 outlandish remarks, nor does it undo the tension after those remarks are made.

Yes, you apologized. And I commend you for that. It was truly the right and mature thing to do.

That doesn't change the fact that you were a major instigator in that thread, though.

PS: I ain't sayin' I'm perfect. God knows I'm not. I'm just saying you brought that thread up, it was a heated thread, and you were one of the chief reasons it was so heated.

The Lounge has been dying for a few years now. Probably will have to re-organize with new mods before sustained interest can be maintained.

Did I get that personal without someone instigating it. I told Night cruiser naive and he had blinkers on which I apologised for but was anything personal apart from that
To me it was more like I had a view and instead of people accepting I have different view they got heated and personal

Like I said it was a sensitive subject and as I said apologise for what I said but those are my views

You yourself just did that by calling my views outlandish remarks it was no more outlandish than what a lot of people were discussing be it on the news, office whatever and vice versa
