I once had a girl i liked very very much and i bought her flowers as a birthday present, well the next day she sent me an sms where she told me she never wanted to e me again.. I think there is a delicate balance, you have to be very precise and cautious not the exeed this, if you act to uninterested she'll just leave, and what EvilJack said, if you're to weak you'll get cheated on, I believe the perfect way to get and hold the opposite sex is to follow that guilded center-way, ofcourse this won't work on all the girls but chances are that the majority will follow.

I know the one I was recently with would fall for that. She was pretty shallow.
