A terrible president. The worst president who was ever reelected, a disaster for the US.

Why's everyone always dump on the media? The only people who control the media are the reporter, news directors, and station/network owners. Yes some networks have a right slant and others have a left slant, but thats about ratings not government control. 90% of the "news" programs on the air are editorial based opinions of the host and not actual news. They are designed to get a reaction from the viewer...either agreeing with or disagreeing with...either way its a win for the network. If you want real news on a major network you're best to watch your 6:00 local news program.....and god forbid, read more than just a headline in a newspaper and pretend to be educated on the issue.
Yeah, I too am so glad Bush was President when we were attacked. He was a well spoken President who sent our troops to the wrong country (Iraq didn't attack us) and let bin Laden get away. Completely effed up the economy (don't know how any of you can even think to blame Obama for that one) bending over to his rich friends who don't give a shit about anything but lining their own pockets. Too bad we have Obama now who actually went after bin Laden and got him.
"Do not fear the enemy, for your enemy can only take your life. It is far better that you fear the media, for they will steal your HONOR. That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoemaking and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poorhouse." --Mark Twain.
If you want real news the best idea is to watch news programmes from around the world on the same topic and form your own opinion based upon filtering the newscasters opinions out and seeing what the actual facts are. one should never read any newspaper ever as they are just another form of opinion from the editor who in turn is told by the newspaper owner what he/she can and cannot publish so as to influence the masses.
At the end of the day the only way to seek the truth is to gather information from many sources (but not newspapers) and cross reference to filter out the shit, you will then be left with a semblance of the truth at the end.
I consider President Bush and President Obama to be roughly equivalent. Both nice guys, but not presidential material. I hate to admit this, because I hated her as First Lady, but Hillary Clinton was by far the most qualified candidate of either party in 2008, and she got screwed by her own party.
When you look at qualifications for the presidency, yes, politics plays a role. However, those intangibles, such as leadership, toughness, willingness to stand up, against your own party if necessary, knowing the use of power, and when to use it.
Those are far more important to me than a political stance on a certain issue.
It has been quite the trollercoaster but no, I didn't I thought bros could separate the man from the job. I was no expecting an Obama vs Bush thread.
Yeah... I can't stand Dubya, the "Man", or Dubya, the "President". Totally wrecked a budget surplus, authorized torture, established a preemptive doctrine... And as far as the man is concerned, he's dumber than a box of rocks. And he really needed to pay more attention in his Public Speaking classes.
I like Obama... I think he inherited a lot of crap that had been building up for quite some time. Thanks to divided government and the GOP becoming the "Party of No", he can't get much done, even when he tries to compromise (which a good politician must do to succeed). And even when times are tough this guys make you feel hopeful even when things are crappy. Excellent public speaker... (oh, and a HOT First Lady)
