no, should not be mandatory..
im not a listed organ donor, and will never be one..
as someone already mentioned, there are too many definitions of what constitutes death, and too many times you hear about doctors overly eager to pull the plug to get the organ. Almost happened to my grandmother.... so fuck that.
I have no care for my organs after im dead, and will gladly donate them if i can not be saved etc....and have left my wishes known to my wife, so that she or other family members can decide for me when the time is right etc. So doctors can not decide on my part. With the law in Australia, thats all that is needed. A relative, spouse etc that knows your wishes and lets the doctors know at the appropriate time.
as a funeral director/embalmer, it alot of work getting donors to look good for the services, but keeping in mind that the organs harvested could save lives. my main complaint is when "core" comes to harvest these organs, they should treat the deceased as a person..even tho the spirit has left the body the body and family deserve respect! pitching in on funeral services would be another way core could show respect. now we all know that these havvested organs arent donated to patients in need!
wow, someone who works as an embalmer. i'm glad there are people out there who want to do that job.
No, it should not be mandatory, my body is my own and I and only I can choose if and when my organs get donated.
I an not a donor and at this point have no desire to be one, I can't say "never" because I do not know what the future holds or how my feelings about this may change in later years.
They probably look like a dog that's been fixed.
Your eyeball sacks.

Don't they just put marbles or something in there?
Dog testicles. That's what they use them for after neutering your pet Fido.
