Aren't speedos popular with Brazilian men? Seems to me like they're asking for it all up and down Copacabana beach.

Here's another case of our legal system failing.
DuPont family heir, given zero jail time in rape of his 3 year old daughter.
Quote:
Richards was initially indicted on two counts of second-degree child rape, felonies that translate to a 10-year mandatory jail sentence per count. He was released on $60,000 bail while awaiting his charges.
Richards hired one of the state's top law firms and was offered a plea deal of one count of fourth-degree rape charges -- which carries no mandatory minimum prison sentencing. He accepted, and admitted to the assault.

He actually got an 8 year sentence, which the judge suspended with the excuse that he "would not fare well in prison". Must be nice to be able to buy your way out of prison.

When one of these rapists gets put into prison from what I have read and heard they get pretty much the same treatment that they gave their victims which is what they deserve. I always try to treat people with kindness even if they have been rude to me, that's jus how I was raised. I don't think that some of these people (men and women alike) don't deserve to be called human beings when they treat others in these ways.

This is on the BBC news edition tonight.....
There's been a huge backlash on social media in Brazil, after a new survey suggested 65% of Brazilians think women who dress in a revealing way "deserve to be attacked".

Yeah, it's a pretty sick world when someone (azdesertrat) disagrees with the article/headline, then everyone instantly assumes he condones rape. What a bunch of wankers.

Ummmm...not everyone has judged him. I specifically stated I wanted to hear his side of the story, as did F1098. I also went as far as sending him a PM asking if he wouldn't mind explaining what he meant; that was over a week ago and I haven't heard back.
F1098 11 years ago
And he has been back several times since then, but won't respond.
Creepy guy.

I read it as a direct response to the thread title and don't see any need for justification on your behalf.

I guess we may not ever find out what he was referencing, whether it was the original post/title or another member in the thread, and like I said, I gave him he benefit of the doubt and didn't judge him at all, I even defended him by saying that I'd never known him to be misogynistic in the past. HOWEVER, if he was referencing a post or member in this thread that spoke out against rape, then I have every right for justification. As there only about a dozen women on this forum, and only 3 that post with any regularity, I take it as him speaking directly to one or all of us. Added to that, the fact that in his post he made an effort to single one person out and question what they believe, and called them arrogant for thinking that, then yeah...Justification is deserved if it ever happens.

I jus want to try to understand how and why a person thinks this way. I would really appreciate his input, and a thirteen-some would be very interesting to say the least......

Anyone who says woman in revealing clothes deserve rape comes across as a tad arrogant in my book.

IF you would fucking read, you would see that just after his post, several members atacked him, while I said this.

I'd call that defending him.

He didn't quote the original post either, yet you have no problem assuming that he was referring to it.

And if you can't see that or accept that, then you are as big of a problem in this society as he rapists themselves.
