..and that is how when you see a sfe dial ebing turned in the movie or on TV, they click as they turn them, passing every number. Okay, THERE IS NO SAFE DIAL THAT DOES THAT. None. They do not click. Not one of them. They are silent. Sargent and Greenleaf, the premier maker of all safe and vault combination locks that you see on every safe outside of those piece-of-shit stash boxes you see at the hardware store, does not make one that clicks like that. They make some that make some kind of quioet internal noise which can make manipulation attacks (safe cracking) more difficult by disgusing the sounds of the iunner workings of the lock (which you can tell a LOT from, by the way) and they make a safe lock that has plastic combination rings so it can't be X-rayed while closed in an effort to figure out the combo. Plastic rings do not show up on an X-ray. Some of the technology that goes into safes to thwart surreptitious entry into them is amazing. But the locks on them do not click. Thank you.
