Don't get me wrong, I love german cars. I've always had. Japanese cars have some strange passion, what I personally love. Old American cars don't give me nothing, old technology, eats too much gas etc etc. The new american cars are built on european technology. The new cadillac is basically Saab, Pontiac and other brands uses lots of Opel parts. American cars are better than ever.

Oh, and Daewoo is sold as Chevrolet here!

Mine too. I've always loved it, the shape, the engine, everything. Honda NSX is another beloved car.

We have some GREAT law article, which denies R34's registering in Finland. R32 and R33 are the only models which can be registered in here. There are some skylines, and it's fantastic to see some exotic cars too.

BTW, the first NSX was registered in Finland 2 weeks ago! You can believe how different car people were interested. The owner had S2000 before it, so it was a correct update.

I never liked the NSX.. even though its a pretty advanced car.. and I don't really think the Skyline is pretty.. but it has a RAW look to it.. you could call it a no bullshit design. The beauty of the skyline is the setting of the springs, its handling. christ it only has 278 bhp. but with its twinturbo and 4wd its a technical master piece.. I like the look of the s2000.. but if I should go for looks only I would proberly go for Porsche, Audi TT or Nissan 350z.. =)

Because Japan had a stupid law which restricted the power or cars. They limited the power to 280hp to all cars, EVO, WRX STI, NSX etc. But now it has been changed and you can get EVO for 400hp, sick shit. And you can push 600hp from skyline easily with the stock parts. The stock power is just an illusion.

Debating the merits of various cars is fine, but it doesn't help nami576 with her problem.

We already told her the solution; see a mechanic.

Lada engine is really simple technology, but I'm pretty sure nobody can help her via internet. It's like helping somebody via telephone, which I hate.

I've helped friends over the phone with computer problems, but I guess cars are a bit different!!

As was pointed out, the car is dieseling; running like a diesel engine. Even though you turn the ignition off, gas is getting to the hot cylinders and igniting from the heat. Bad gas could be a problem. Timing is a more likely problem. Electrical problem possible but more remote. If you don't know how to check the timing, check the ignition system and can't afford to toss out a tank of gas you will have to get it to a mechanic.

Your engine is 'running on" due to glowing deposits left on the plugs, valves, and combustion chambers. These glowing "hot spots" will continue to ignite the fuel drawn in through the carburetor. Change your spark plugs, and try gapping the electrodes slightly wider. Use a fuel system additive to remove deposits. This should take care of your problem. Check to make sure your ignition timing is set properly, for best combustion efficiency. I'm a mechanic with 30 yrs. experience, and have dealt with this problem many, many times.

Ya its pretty difficult to instruct someone over the internet when we are talking about cars =))

But I have seen a Skyline with 1400+ bhp. the skyline engine is amazing.. 400 bhp in a boxer motor is sick.. Subaru is doing a nice job with the porsche engine.. I do however prefer wankle motor. Mazda rx7-8 =) 1300cc 270 bhp =P go eat your heart out =DD
