a fucking 302 (and various small blocks) would outlast any import motor u can throw at it, and domestics do not handle well at all? considering 90% of all imports are fwd how do they handle better than domestics?

Import cars have a very distinct tuning and handling advantage... Simplicity!! just like all Japanese culture, keep it simple and effective. Innovative too, sequential turbos, etc., all japanese. Why have a 300 bhp V8, when you can get the same power with half the wieght? Still think domestics are so fabulous? And FWD handles better than RWD, because you are pulled through corners, rather than pushed. Think about it. The best Jap cars are AWD anyways( GSX eclipse,WRX,Eagle talon).

Are we counting DSM as Japanese cars?(the US versions anywho,A.K.A. Dodge Stealth, Eagle Talon)

They are japanese cars. A talon is just an eclipse. The Pontiac Vibe is just a Toyota Matrix.

i'm thinking about buying a 1990-94 Toyota MR2 GTi or turbo, its about 150-200bhp but, still it's a jap, and it can go around corners faster than most american cars :P

American muscle would only win the tug of war `cos they are about 2 tonne, try going round a corner at speed though and we`ll see who crashes into the wall.

I drive a 04 Infiniti G35 Coupe. No complaints. Can't wait to be able to actually afford the entire list of mods I have planned for it. Twin-Turbo here I come!

We have Impreza's and evo's over here in europe running 9sec 1/4s 200mph+ on a 1 1/2mile top speed run, handle like race cars and are perfectly roadlegal.

Doesn't matter what you do with your muscle cars, you just can't gat anywhere close as an all rounder, I love the looks but they're overweight and over the hill

Well, i'm from eastern europe...in the middle of this war....i'm a muscle car fan(atic)....but i got nothing against a japanese car if it's not too rice. Something like the R34 or the 300ZX would make me pretty happy, but it doesn't give u the feeling of muscle....i mean just listen to the engine. A low-rev beast that can reach at least 8000 revs if pushed....and doesn't scream like a woman....but roars like a lion....that's my thing. And if you were wondering what I drive...it's a 1977 replica of a renault 12....54 bhp, 0-60 mph in about 11 sec. Check it out in the east-european cars topic.....

you americans dont know what real driving is. yeah your cars go fast in straight lines but your missing out on the thrill of pushing a car to its handling limits, theres nothing like driving a nimble jap sports car around a proper race circuit ( thats one with various corners, not an oval.) yeah you might have more brute power but they handle like shit
