mmmm, love the things that have been done to that bmw!
That Z3 is terrible! Hey, thats just me though. I like them quiet and classy.
You'll get a kick out this Phenom. MandysMan had an issue with a lower control arm in the rear, so we replaced it. Pretty damn fun, as the rear sway bar had to be unbolted, the driveshaft unbolted from the diff, the diff needed to be unbolted and moved out of the way, and all of that to clear one bolt on the control arm. MandysMan noticed the broken part after we noticed the right rear had positive camber and his car drifted every left turn. Good times indeed, took about 3 hours, and things are great with it now. Here's a funny pic, with my haggard ass on the left, and MandysMan on the right. The new control arm is being held by me and is black, and MandysMan in holding the old broken one.
All I can say is it sucks to push an antiroll bar in place with your thumbs, and later lift the rear suspension against the shock and spring. But good times all in all.
Cool pics HB, i'm liking the Z4.
Damn Bar! That thing was bent to hell! All that unbolting, bolting, moving out of the way, etc. was what i hated about working on honda's. Except, i don't think we had to do that much! Sucks to have to do so much work just to get to one bolt!
You guys didn't use anything to assist you in lifting the rear suspension?!? That's nuts! I almost popped a blood vessel in my forehead trying to do that! We usually just grab another jack and pump it back up till its close enough to "shimmy in" (or what have you) with some good ole elbow grease. Good times though, there's always that feeling of satisfaction when you work on your car, then all goes well only to enjoy the drive after all the work is done!
There was a BMW in that link? Hmm, must have missed it.
A couple of Different BMW's....I think
