well, I'm sure you're expecting at least one person to MOM as their answer, sorry to dissapoint you but I think the answer is "ti". after all, the question is what do you get when you spell it backwards

A traveler, on his way to a certain village A, reaches a road junction, where he can turn left or right. He knows that only one of the two roads leads to village A, but unfortunately, he does not know which one. Fortunately, he sees two twin-brothers standing at the road junction, and he decides to ask them for directions. The traveler knows that one of the two brothers always tells the truth and the other one always lies. Unfortunately, he does not know which one always tells the truth and which one always lies. How can the traveler find out the way to village A by asking just one question to one of the two brothers?

ok, got to really think this one through to make sure I get it the right way round. Ask brother A if Brother B would tell him the left road is the correct road to take. If brother A says that yes he would then he knows that he should turn right, not left. Reason: if brother A is the liar then brother B wouldn't say left was the way to go. If brother A isn't a liar then brother B is the liar and therefore is telling him the wrong road when he says left is the way to go.

Confused? I am and yet I'm sure thats correct, just a little confusing when you read it, but I hope it makes sense

Yeah, heh that's it.

Ask one of them "Which road would your brother tell me is the road to Village A?"

The lying one would know his brother would tell the truth so he lies and tells you road B, The honest one knows his brother would lie so he tells the truth and tells you road B. So you take road A.

woohoo, mind if I add one here, tough, gonna do it anyway

3 men go for dinner at a resturant and the bill comes to £30
so they pay £10 each to the waiter
the waiter then goes to the cashier with the £30 but the cashier says its only £25 so give them £5 back
the waiter decides on the way back to keep £2 as a tip and give them £3 back
so he gives them £3 back meaning they have now only paid £9 each
3 x £9 =£27 and the waiters £2 =£29
so where is the other £1

Okay.. here it is.

The men's dinner = 25£
+ the waiters tip = 27£

3x10£= 30£ (how much they paid)
30£-5£=25£ (money they were suppose to get back)
30£-3£=27£ (amout they got back)
27£+2£= 30£ (amount waiter took)

They all paid 9£ each which covers the waiter's tip. The trick to this riddle is that the 2£ aren't added on to 27£ it is included. \

The money is all there. 30-25+3+2
