WBW Public beta II

Hi,

As some of you already know, I have been working on a totally redesign of WhatBoysWant; As I am getting near the end of the development cycle, I want to ask you all to help me test the new site.

The beta website can be found on the following location:

You have to register a new account for testing as we are using a clean database for testing purposes.

Hm... after 30 seconds in there, I felt I was visiting a wbw wanna-be clone that failed. Alpha, for sure. I like theme of this site far better.

That said, there could be hidden features I didn't notice, and it felt faster to load, I'm sure you'll get it right. It's a heavier upgrade than just a new theme, I'm sure of.

And also, there are some scaryness affecting this site going on. The sites don't share any session values/objects or anything, right? After visiting, I got 404s and "thread doesn't exist" on the other four active threads. Went back to just http://www.whatboyswant.com in a hope to get things nullified and reset. Worked.

Increase the page width, make it brighter. Spend some more time on the design details. It doesn't look refined yet.

First problem is there is almost no content, as of now there is already more then you first viewed. Second you are right that a lot has to be fine tuned. On this I need your help, finding out what you would like and love to see.

As we are a community driven website, it is very important that I get input from the community to make it as good as possible for you guys/girls.

Yes it is a very heavy upgrade, as this is needed to start a totally new experience. We need to get the community feeling back, the feeling that it matters that we have people contributing.

As you have already seen, the redesign doesn't have all the features the live site has atm, this is because there is still a lot of work to be done. When I launch it, I want the features that are build in to be polished.

Width has been based on the maximum standard atm.

Brighter, yes. I really have to fine tune the standard layout! But as you know I am not the best webdesigner in the world. I need help in this. Maybe I should start a competition and award a good price (money) for the best design.

You got 404 errors? Where? and how did you get them?

Hey people, come on and get in on this unique opportunity to test WBW before it goes live, and give Dizzy some feedback about what you like, don't like, and ideas on how to make it better
