voting

What happened to voting? I cant vote since Friday? Nothing: cars, babes, movies... How to fix this? Is there some kind of limit, 1000 a week or something?

From what I see, your voting rights have been taken. This is automatic when you down-vote too much pics/vids in an abnormal way (either bots voting 1 everywhere or user down-voting many many content without rating other content high). In your case it was in the car section.

Can you take my voting rights back? Or maybe this is permanent

if they have been taken, you will get them back in any given period of time..... its been a while since ive been a mod so i dont know the time durations for it

It's not a mod decision like uploading or posting rights removal but an automated system used to avoid bot and troll-voting. It's permanent as people caught by it are supposed to be detrimental to the site (why would you downvote all content from a category ?)
I can't give those rights back but Diz has been warned about this thread and we'll see if you can be the exception.

oh, sorry about that..... i didnt know about that system. i was going by the mods taking rights away

No it's a separate offence. The upload right removal was a mod decision.

I never got my voting rights back. I guess you can't vote the way you feel. It is amazing that the average here would be 5 but 99.9% are well over that. Just wonder where all the above average girls come from

You can vote the way you feel, but I hardly believe that 31,070 (the number of votes you've made) girls, average a 2.02 (your average rating) score.

You're either:
1) Doing it because you're lazy and wanted to increase your vote count without actually having to think about it.
2) A douche
3) Really don't think over 31000 girls are attractive; which begs the question, why are you still coming back to WBW?

It would be great to vote again. Voting on cars was a mistake but on "Awesome on Wreck" were only wrecks at beginning...

I know about upload rights and I agree with his decision, but voting is different ;/ without rating browsing babes is different ;-)

And another question: When or ever "hot or not" will be fixed?

Do you really want me to respond to this. You helped me prove my point I can't vote now so I guess you can't vote the way you feel. And I really don't think a girl whos face you can't even see is worth more than a 1 and in alot of those cases they get well over the average which is 5. That's just one example of how I voted before I was not allowed. Voting is an oppinion and every one has there own, what you have to do is agree to disagree. You have to admit there is alot of people that had their voting rights takin away for voting the way they feel.

I check every voting rights removal and 90% of them are people that just created an account and voted 1 or 2 for 30 pics straight.
The remaining are people that haven't been on the site for a while but already voted like that (like you) and got their voting right removed as soon as they voted once with the new system.

You can vote the way you feel as long as you're not a bot, or a dick.
I agree with Sugarpie. Having more 30k votes and 2.0 average is not normal. I often vote 2 for pics I don't find interesting at all, that doesn't mean my average is too because I also vote 6/7 for pics I like. In the end, I have a 5.something average. Having something inferior than 3 just shows you vote bellow 3 more than 80% of the time...

Diz has been warned for both (your voting rights and the "hot or not" bug) so I guess we only have to wait now as I can't do much myself here for both issues.
I get that your voting rights removal is a bit of an exception though (considering it's only because of cars and how you did it).

IMO, voting rights for one category shouldn't be lost for voting habits in another category. It just doesn't really make sense to me.

SP didn't help prove your point at all. I think her list of possibilities is pretty spot on, actually. There is an argument to be made that people who are way above the average should also have their rights removed as well, but I don't agree with it. It's a little ridiculous that you say the average is 5, insinuate your voting habits are normal, but then have a rating of 2.02 over 31,000 votes.

And BTW, the "average" would be 5.50 anyway. But of course, many people don't click into pics they don't like, and hence, don't have as many to downvote. I'm much more likely to pick a picture to view out if the million+ on here that I'll enjoy than one ill vote a 1 or 2 on. So it makes sense the average is higher than 5.50.

I agree with the point of view of kylecook it would be fair to separate the votingrights
And I think it's normal that gdi lost his votingrights ,an average rating of 2.02 over 31,000 pictures is to low, I don't understand that somebody just want to vote on pictures he dislikes that much.
I looked at his uploaded pictures (3 in total) and I don't see much of the face on them also , so I can make the conclusion it wasn't his purpose to post some quality that we could rate more than 1 or 2 neither

So you really feel that out of the 31,000+ votes you've made, that none of them are worth an average score higher than 2? Why are you spending any time at all on this site then? If after 31K votes, one would assume that after 60K votes, your average would still be 2...what about 120K votes...it stands to reason that unless something really changed with your tastes, or with the site, that you'd still have an average of around 2. So why stay here? Go somewhere else where you find the women more attractive.

I can understand that thinking as well, if you look at my average, its 8.12. However, the difference is I've only made 2225 votes. The reason behind this, is I only tend to vote for pictures I like, if I don't find the girl attractive, I generally just skip past it without voting. Now...maybe thats what gdi is doing as well, maybe he only votes for pictures he doesn't like, but he's never said that, so I don't know...also, with 31,000 votes, I tend not to think thats not the case.

Right. I think it just makes sense for people to focus on and view pics they like, rather than ones they hate. So the higher scores don't bug or shock me. I know it was a bit if a debate a while ago though. There are a handful of members who have many more votes than you with average ratings substantially above yours. Still, doesn't bug me.
