Little feedback

this may be a dumb question but when i try to upload a pic that is already in the database it wont take it it says already in database why then doesnt this happen with all duplicates?

Poopertrooper.. i think it`s a good question..

prolly because if you;re uploading the same pic you've already uploaded, then the file name would be the same, whereas someone else might have the same pic w a different file name

Don't think it searches on file name, it goes on size of pic and other properties too technical for me, but a lot of people edit their pics or save them into diferent formats so doubles get through.

Although I think the scannery thingy works a lot better than it used to.

A good idea to have a mod to look through the pics and delete doubles without having to locate the original but the danger is we all look at a lot of porn and sometimes forget where we saw a pic originally, so maybe a good pic gets deleted cos someone already thinks it's here.

If i just could report without searching the original pic..

the way to do it is if you see a repost, just make a "REPOST" comment on the pic and one of the comment mods, usually fefe, will see it and delete the pic. and then once you make too much work for the mods, senja will hire you like he did with me

edit: or just send me a PM with the links of the reposts and i will gladly delete the pics, and i trust that it is a repost because you have voted on over half of the gallery

BigDic was on the right track.

It is based on checksums, which take into account many properties of the pic. Any variation in file size or dimensions, even a single pixel will change the checksum.

Jullexxx has never posted a pic. Perhaps he should post a few before he starts nagging about others.

No he needs not do that now, he is the best at looking at the pics and i have looked at quite a few and seen some of the vilest offenders and i know them by heart. *cough* gorgeous *cough*

jullexxx does not need to post pics, the man is a voting freak and probably knows the galleries better than all the pic mods combined

I have an idea just an idea. Why not we shut down the babes galleries for a few day and no one upload during those days and mods allow no uploads during those days. The forum would still be active but the galleries would be down. During those few days the pic mods all of them go through the entire database and clean it out and the members can help too just a thought

Too many pictures. There aren't enough mods to do that in just "a few days".

maybe a week perhaps get jullexxx in on the deal

we have to click each pic individually, i have been working on just one user for 2 weeks now and im about half done with him

ill bet senja is totally willing to make him a pic mod if he is up to it

but this week, we are working on cleaning the galleries, we emptied the pic queue this weekend, so we are working on the gallery

well sometimes i try to go through each gallery and clean it out of the vile ones i see 1200 or so times, some of the others require a keen eye and sound judgement to get those workin. I also try to find the porn stars like tawnee stone and her cronies

As suckrates already said, it works with am MD5 hash checksum, which means that if I would upload the same pic twice, it refuses me to do so. But if I would crop it, or resize it or change the pic itself it in any way, it allows uploading. Shutting down in my opinion is not an option, but maybe Diz has another view, it's his site

edit: some of the elder big uploading users have hundreds and thousands of pros in their uploads, its a great source to find pro pics
