Forum Related Changes

01. [ FORUM ] Rename the category from Computers to Technology.
02. [ FORUM ] Merge the Software and Hardware subforums together and just call in the Computers Subforum.
03. [ FORUM ] Rename Games subforum to Video Games.

News Related Changes

01. [ NEWS ] Replace the categories of Cars, Gadgets, Games, Movies, Music, and Other to (1) Technology and Science (2) Entertainment (3) Notable News (4) World News (5) Asnine News (6) Reviews
02. [ NEWS ] Support for linking with standard xhtml.
03. [ NEWS ] <div> support for a Monospaced font to replace BLOCKQUOTE.

Queue Moderation Related Changes

01. [ QUEUE ] Add a "Select All" option for the comment moderation.
02. [ QUEUE ] Flush out button to remove all nonexistant items from the Greylist.
03. [ QUEUE ] Flush out button to remove items that have already had their urls blacklisted earlier.
04. [ QUEUE ] Poster editted items still appear in the post preview.

Why? Video games is only tv. In that case change the descripton to include video games instead of only computers as it is now.

Video games applies to computers as well.

What about charging new users a one-time fee of like $5? SomethingAwful's Forums did this and were able to eliminate spammers and the influx of idiots to their boards.

Because its such a privledge to post on WBW? People who would have normally joined wouldnt if this were introduced.

Yeah, but the majority of the people who come to WBW come for the free porn. Thats how most members started.

And free porn costs WBW money to serve to the leechers.

There are other ways around that, like making the galleries for members with X amount of points/posts. Maybe make only the general forums and the car gallery available to new members. Then for the porn galleries and forums, have a set limit of posts that have to be made or points earned.

All that will create is more accounts used to spam useless threads/posts or plain old jargon

id also like it if diz would make it so that both fields for uploading a picture into news articles worked instead of only 1

we have 2 fields for it and only 1 has ever worked, i would LOVE for both to work, because sometimes i find 2 pictures that would be great to put with it that are directly related to the article

we HAVE 2 fields, its stupid that we can only use one

id actually prefer to take one field away..
one pic should be sufficient, not clutter the news post with 2 pics

just thinking of this magazine idea, and how kanz wants everyones views on it. Since you wouldnt want to make a thread in every forum, and some members never venture out of the babe galleries, How about having a space right above EVERY forum free. So whenever you needed to make a statement or a thread that EVERYONE SHOULD SEE, you could make it there...and that way all could see it? like Just under all the stickies???...

since not everyone seems to pay attention to the frontpage..

i think as much as people ignore the stickies at the top of the page theyll ignore that too


i think the ones who dont bother to even look at the highlights with really important announcements and important big titles on the front page wont bother to read the other either.... some cunts just dont want to know anything about the site but the porn

maybe, but its not so much for the people who cant be arsed in looking at the frontpage, but for the ones who dont use it at all, and for ease of threads been up there no matter which forum its started, so not like news thread, but a forum thread.

i never even look at the frontpage post unless im pointed in that direction....BUT i do look at the getnew and the TOP threads in the lounge. Which is where those threads would show.

the one thing that would seem a little irritating to me is all the stickies some forums have.... some mods feel the need to keep like 6 fucking stickies in their forum as it is so that would just be ANOTHER one stacked up there

cluttering up the forum :P


but i suppose that could be fixed with mods cutting back to only necessary shit, there are some really pointless stickies in some forums

well you wouldnt have it staying there forever, once its done its purpose it can be moved to a normal forum.

Probably too late to incorporate into V5's first release, but I'd like to see something like a return receipt for private messages...even if it's just for moderators. There have been a few occasions that I've sent a warning pm to a member yet they continue to offend. It would be nice to know if they got the message and are ignoring it or just never saw it.
