Hotlinking at the babe-forums ?

I received a question from BDD via PM:

Why is there a maximum amount of pictures you can hotlink per reply and not a minimum, so we end up with 6 pages with 30 pictures which could have be but into 2 replies?

What do the admins and babe-forum mods think ? I have to say that I completely agree with BDD on this one.

I agree. There seem to be a lot of people that post 1 pic per post just to get +2.

If they're full size images, I don't have a problem with that. But even still, there are too damn many rules already. If we keep making more, not only is it going to be more difficult to moderate, it's going to chase members away.



And also, why have user points, and then go to great lengths to keep members from getting them?

Nothing needs to be done, in my opinion. I once joined a porn forum that was so ridiculously anal about rules, I ended up quitting. I don't want that to happen here.

and on second thought, there is that button at the right up-corner where you can adjust your view to even

If they can't even keep the minimum amount of words allowed in a post I doubt they can keep any minimums of pics.

then what about attached pics, there should be a minimum there too. i say leave it the way it is, too many rules.

though it irritates me to see people posting shitty pics one at a time to get the points, I too think it should stay the same. wbw has so many rules, its ridiculous. we shouldnt dictate that you must post X amount of pictures every time you post.

I sent him Punly's rules and highligted the remark about only posting one per reply for the points. I told him they're only points on a porn site. I didn't hear back.

my response to him was

"Because users that have dial-up or wireless can't post very many pictures per post. Its annoying when some people post one hotlink when they don't need to, but some members need it.

there are only about 15 for the babe forums including the forum specific rules, and then only 3-4 original ones in the site rules.

When i post now i only ever post in thumbnails, with perhaps 20 pics per post.. cant see the point of overusing space unneccesarily.

BDD sent me the PM too...for my amusement, this is how i dealt with it, specially when i get alot of PM's about forums i dont even moderate!, even when the actual forum mod is online!!...lazy fuckers..

I say make it a minimum of 20 thumbs per reply. If you can't find that many pics then don't post
