I am about to purchase a new game station and I was wondering which one was the best. I have done some research, but would like to hear from people that actually own either an XBox, PS3 or Wii.

Thanks

I have a wii, I'm not a huge gamer though. But the wii isn't like any other games I've played...it's very different, much more interactive then the others.

I've got a 360 and I love it. You'll need to sign up for Xbox Live ($50 a year) to fully appreciate gaming bliss. Here's my gamercard.

I did have a Wii, but I ended up giving it to my 11 yr old niece. It's a great party machine, but it doesn't have anything as addictive as an online CoD4 "death match." Honestly, I liked my PS2 better than my Wii.

The PS3 cost too much and it didn't have several of the games that I wanted. And nothing sony has comes close to XBL.

I have all of them back to Dreamcast.

I play my 360 the most. Take it as you will.

I've had a Sega, N64, PS2 and a Wii. Sugarpie is correct, the Wii really isn't like any other game system I have seen before or used.

Allegedy COD will be available for the Wii so that will be interesting and cool. I think for 1st person shooter and motorsports games one of the other platforms may be better as they have more games available right now. Ifc you are looking for something new and different try the Wii.

I think it depends on what kind of gaming you are looking for.

For starters, I still think the PS3 is way overpriced, and the library of titles doesn't warrant consideration from me.

That leaves the Wii or XBOX.

The Wii is tons of fun, but the entertainment value is more family oriented, more for softcore gaming. When you get past all the sports games requiring you to throw your arm around, the big library titles are more of the same old Nintendo Mario/Zelda titles. I'm not knocking the Wii, I love it and am buying one in the next week for Christmas... Definitely the better option for family members to get involved. The Wii also has tons of 8bit/16bit games on the virtual console from older systems too...

That said, the Xbox has more of the current hardcore gaming, type games. I'm an old school gamer, and I'm sorry, there's just too many damn buttons on these controllers. But if you're a younger guy that loves all these 3D titles where you blow shit up nonstop and the whole universe of the game comes down on your head, then the XBOX is probably for you.

I have the ps3 and xbox 360 and I like them both. Right now the xbox is better for gaming because of a better selection of games and the great online play, but the ps3 has the advantage of the blu-ray player and i'm sure the selection of games will start improving. I always considered the wii a kids console. It all depends on what you are looking for.

I've got the Wii-60. I play both of them a lot. Xbox live rocks and the fall update to integrate with Netflix will be sweet. Its 8:50 AM and I'm about to go play COD4 with all of the Europeans.

My wife and I are also rocking Lego Batman on the Wii. I'll do some Yoga with my Wii later today and play Soul Caliber 4 with my kids this evening when they get home from school.

PS3? whatever. Wii or 360 and you are set. Wii is better if you have friends who come over a lot. My 67 year old mother will play Wii with the kids.

Does 360 have wireless controllers? If so, do they work well?

Oh and i thought that i might add that PS3 games are NOT regional... on a recent trip to the US i bought 3 PS3 games and bought them back to the UK and they work fine.

DVD's ARE still regional on the PS3.

I'm kind of caught in the same dilemma. I am more of a PC gamer, however, the wife wants to get a console so we can play together. Personally, I want to get a PS3 so when she gets bored with it we can still use it as blu ray player. However, I think if we did get a Wii, she'd probably like the game selection more. Its a puzzle wrapped in an enigma.

The PS3 is by far a stronger platform and more reliable with better looking games however the Xbox 360 is easy to mod to play "backed up" games and they do seem to have alot more interesting games for the Xbox but the PS3 has the bluray player built in which was my original delema as I am a big movie buff and couldn't decide between the two systems so I ended up buying the Wii, Xbox and PS3 but if your big into games Xbox might be the way to go and if your into HD movies and higher detailed games PS3 might be the way to go. Also Sony doesn't charge to play online which is always a plus.
