xbox live

can some1 explain to me how to get on to xbox live as i have not got a clue and no smart answers please

You need an Xbox/360 and you need to be on the internet, which i assume you are.

Your 360 connects to your modem/router/hubb via a usb, or ethernet cable. Which is connected too the phone socket as normal. You register your gamertag either with credit card or buying a pre-paid card from a games shop. If you have a Credit Card or pre-paid subscription card, you can register for live, through the console.

Contact Xbox support... they can walk you through it...


Oh, and watch out for auto updates... sometimes they aren't nice

im stuck again last night i was playing on xbox live and today it wont let me connect it says (mtu) failed any1 know how i change this xbox www. wont work

Live was going to be down for a few hours today

i think that was from 0200 to 0500

strange its working now. im going to play GEARS of WAR for a few days if any1 is on live playing it say hello

hmm xbox live silver is scary too. you can get it for free but you can't play anyone online.

I think it's a good service. The initial price isn't that high, and why should everything be free? They all need to make their money back somehow.

Goto your router config... Normally 192.168.1.1 or something.

Change the MTU size from Auto to 1500.

This is one factor Sony will find themselves up against it in the PS3 v 360 war, they have more or less 0 experience when it comes to online, after all they didnt support the PS2 online service and left it to the game developers who could charge for every individual game you play online, which over a year was well in excess of £40.

Overall for £40 a year noone can moan. If you want extra maps ect you may have to pay for it, but it cost money to create the maps anyway. Dont forget that.

I got mine on ebay for about £23 for your future purchases, just incase you hadn't checked . £23 - 12 months online gaming, absolute bargain.
