well I dont think the ps3 will have the same online shit has the 360 like the web cam and chat invites but the ps3 has the better grafix

well ill summarize the history of the playstation
playstation one- n64 walked all over that paperweight, goldeneye > every game released for ps1
playstation 2- horrid graphics, slow loadings, shit controllers, imo xbox is twice the system that excuse of a console is
xbox360 i will be buying, but i cant say the ps3 will suck because the last 2 did....

Also, if the either side doesn't relent and one kind doesn't become top dog. Then there will be two kinds of dvd's on the market. And if Hollywood and Rental places aren't willing to stock movies on both discs your gonna need two totally different
dvd players,(essentially what both Sony and Mirsosoft want you to use your console for anyways)

I dunno. I'm trying to decide which to own cuz I don't want all 3. I'm on my 3rd PS2 which just suggests I played it that much or it can't stand the abuse. I just got a used xbox early this year and I have to say that it became my prefered system, at least on a couple of games. However, Sony has a few exclusive games that make it ownable (Devil May Cry, Ratchet & Clank) and they're the first to get Grand Theft Auto, at least they have been. I just want a fast, durible system that's going to have great graphics, and the Grand Theft Auto series.

Also, don't forget, no matter which one you get, they are both 2 to 3 times more powerful than the current ones.
More power means more power usage and the more you play the higher your electric bill will be. All of that live in
your parents basements may not be affected but us guys that actually have are own places will have to watch
our bills get higher.
Not to mention all the games will be 60 to 80 dollars.

when all is said and done it dont matter what is inside the machines, which hardware company is backing who etc its all about what the software developers can do with what they are given i will wait about 6 months and then see which impresses me most

am part american so when i came back from the states to scotland and saw my first ps1 i was 'what the fuck' and now im still like 'what the fuck' cause i own 6 broken ps1s and a broken ps2 and my xbox no matter how badly i treat still works man it may be slow but the brick still moves , so now im a microsoft fan and i fuckin hate windows

My Ps2 hasn't gotten any play since i brought home my x-box. Online play pwns, until Sony realizes this and has a decent supported online community, X-Box will continue to grow stronger. Nintendo is clueless..... go make your kiddie games.

I got my PS1 when the first came out, and it didn't die until last year.
