Helps thin the heard and improve the gene pool.

Yes, we should get rid of people who can't avoid drunk drivers.

dont take this the wrong way, but just because some people are horrible inconsiderate humans, everyone should suffer? alcohol doesnt cause everyone who drinks it to get uncontrollably drunk and then to recklessly drive

the problem there isnt the alcohol, it's the drinking and driving

so make it tougher to drink and drive, put breathalizers in cars maybe?

I agree with you. I chose that particular issue simply because it stood out. Maybe I should have been clearer. I meant that I don't agree with his statement in general. It sounds like he's just saying ignore all of the problems associated with alcohol. I'm not in favour of prohibition.

BTW, I also believe they should legalize marijuana.

Would the U.S. be better off? Possibly.. in it's current state... but that's sort of like saying that kids are just going to say no to sex!!! There are many good things about drugs (alcohol is a drug)... the problem is a lack of truthful education and proper usage.... not the drugs themselves. I, personally, feel very fortunate to have experimented with a number of different substances that offered a different perspective to "reality". The concept that non altered states are "reality" is bunk too. We get altered by anger, sex and beauty, to name a few. To look at the world in a different way is a beautiful thing. To get lost in the alteration is just another separate reality.... and addiction is a nasty habit

i dont trust people who are not drinking. and, like good old shane said one day..

"The most important thing to remember about drunks is that drunks are far more intelligent than non-drunks--they spend a lot of time talking in pubs unlike workaholics who concentrate on their careers and ambitions, who never develop their higher spiritual values, who never explore the insides of their head like a drunk does."

oh, and Swiss407 .. i too

This is probably the best rationalization I've ever seen. But like most, it's still just horsehsit.

Depends on what state you live in. Here in Idaho where we have more gun stores than gas stations (true stat), most everyone is armed.

I've had both an aunt and an uncle taken by drunk drivers within a year of each other. But banning it is not the solution. Just more punishment.
