windows updates

there are several websites that allow you to download windows updates with firefox

ie windows update sites that microsoft does not maintain

i lost the site addresses during a hard drive crash...
does anyone know any of them?

no...and that would be cool, i hate using IE..

I don't need to worry about genuine validation.

i own an actual copy of xp

however i used a stripped down version because it uses less resources

i still cant get many of the updates i need because my stripped down version will not authenticate as genuine


like media player 11

i really need that but i cant get it with this version

I own a Finnish version of corporate edition. No need to worry.

Damn that sucks. I find Media Player 11 really good actually. I sync my MP3 player with it and many other things. But as I can see, that genuine validation doesn't give you much power compared to the cracked serial versions.

My new machine came with XP (Go Figure) but I'm experimenting with my old box as a open source only machine. Once I get used to it I'll never go back to M$
