I go back and forth on becoming vegetarian.

:/ i totally wrote up a semi long post. and it's just gone. gone into the land of the internets. never to be seen again. bah.

I'm actually vegetarian currently... have been for a few weeks now. I'm finding it to be a bit tough ha

Also, I'm like you. I've been vegitarian at times for a few months, but I find it difficult....and I'm not 100% sold on the benefits. I don't think there is anything wrong with having some meat. But generally as a society I think we eat too much.

Meat is the easiest way to get all your yummy protein needs; specifically the amino acids that your body doesn't produce.

Of course, you can get them through other things, like legumes and some types of dairy, but it's just easier to have a piece of chicken. Or salmon. Or something.


But on that note, I'm going to become a bedatarian, for at least the next few hours, anyway.

Your recent commentary reminds me that last summer I was totally with out meat, home grown veggies with a little mayo salt and pepper.

Yea I've been considering becoming a vegetarian for a few years now and I've finally decided that I'm going to go through with it. I'm not fully opposed to eating meat, I think if I do eat it though, I'll only buy from humane farms where I know where it's coming from... We do consume so much meat as a society that there are now these mass producing plants and the animals are-I shouldn't say "are," I should say "can be" kept in awful inhumane conditions and I just can't stomach the idea of eating animals that have suffered their whole lives simply because I like the taste of them. so vegetarian it is. hah

It's like you've been inside my head. I feel the exact same way. It's not that I'm against meat, I'm pro animal. I don't eat a lot any more, instead I eat soy meat...it's actually quite good and they've more or less got the texture thing figured out now.

@ Notech - it depends if you consider mayo vegetarian or not...as it's made from eggs. But regardless, you're very close.

I think it might be my bedtime too.

Well I guess besides bringing coffee and donuts that is our job so who's cleaning the floor tonight?
