What would you tell this man

A couple of days ago my city Salem, Oregon was in complete disarray. A man thinking of ending his own life tied a noose around his neck, and tied the other end around a bridge. He steped onto the other side of the ledge and waited for police to arriv. When they did they shut down one side of the bridge the other side, the one I was on, was completely shut off from the rest of the city. people where stuck in traffic for HOURS trying to get home, to work, or other appiontments. Meanwhile back on the bridge the man is still trying to decide what to do, jump, or come back across to safety. 15 HOURS later th man was rushed and pulled back to safety. My question is How would you handle this man. a man who held a city hostage for 15 HOURS.

I say they should have told him to jump or get the fuck off the bridge your holding up rush hour traffic, on a friday in a busy city.

Man, it just goes to show nobody cares about anyone else anymore. I mean, I feel ya, "Shit or get off the pisser." But when i look at it from a 3rd person perspective: you gotta be in a pretty bad way when ur thinkin about hanging ur ass on a bridge.

They should've shot him with a tranquelizer gun. I swear I fucking hate these people looking for attention. If the guy really wanted to kill himself he would be dead! It is very selfish of stupid fucks like this guy to hold up a bridge during rush hour.

Why couldn't he go into the woods climb a fucking tree and hang himself. No he had to make fucking spectacle of himself!!!

whether he was gonna jump or not...holding up traffic and all the hassle for 15 hours he better get charged with something, otherwise people will just continue to do this kind of stuff thinking they will get away with it. Make an example of him somehow.

Every city of any decent size has bean bag guns for just this situation. Salem is large enough that they shouuld have had such a gun with a marksman trained to use it. This guy posed a hazard to other people because he ended up blocking traffice which can include ambulances, fire trucks, and other emergency vehicles.

Someone needs to ask the Salem officials why they allowed it to go on so long.

If some muppet says he gonna jump you should just say can you hurry the fuck up Star treks on telly tonight or shout word of encouragement like "Hurry up, if anyone gave a shit they'd be here to save by now! Oh wait they can't get here coz they've close the roads, hows that for ironic you daft twat" or if all else fails this song always helps them on there way

Salem is a big city, there are bigger HELL YEs and the are a lot of smaller citys in the country.
