Just finished watching The Watchmen in the comfort of my living room. Not sure if its a film to recommend, Its one of these movies where the narrator dies... oops what do you mean you haven't seen it? hehe.
Anyway that's about all that happens, I wasn't that impressed. Where was the action? Where was the heroism? Superheroes are meant to go about saving people.
I think if your not a BIG comic book fan, this might not be your cup of tea.
I watched Slumdog Millionaire at my house last weekend
I wasn't that impressed by it, I mean it was a good movie but I think with all the hype I expected more. I'd say its worth a watch. (The chick in it is damn Hot)
Just watched Choke at home on DVD from Netflix. Sam Rockwell is fucking great, as always. Kind of hard to explain what the flick is about, as Chuck Palahniuk's stuff kind of defies description. The best I can do is that it's about a guy finding his identity through meaningless sex and getting attention/love by being rescued from choking on purpose. It's a lot tamer than Fight Club, but still pretty original. Pretty quick watching too, only clocked in at about an hour and a half. Anjelica Huston blew me away with her acting, she was in rare form and I'm surprised she wasn't nominated for her work.
All in all, a good recommendation if nothing else than to appreciate originality and Palahniuk's strange brain.
OK, don't laugh. My girlfriend rented "The Notebook" two nights ago. One thing was good about this sappy, tear-jerking romance was it, another was other was great.
Good: Rachel McAdams is cute.
Great: I got the fucking of my life after watching it with my girlfriend.
If your girl get turned on by romantic stuff, go for it.
Old Home Movies (newly restored on dvd from 8mm film)from my childhood! What a nice ride!
