Ya i would have to agree with some of the other people.... Gary Jule's version of "Mad World" is a pretty sad song... a good song... but sad.... the Tears for Fears version of it (the original) is not as sad or moving in my opinion

Different songs have different effects on all of us for many reasons - what one person may find laughable, someone else thinks of as deeply moving. That's what makes people interesting

Well, after listening to the Red Sovine "Billy's Christmas Wish", had not heard that in a long time. So I'll change my vote to say...Anything by Red Sovine.

Now I'll complain...logged on to look at nudie pics and to do naughty things but after reading this topic and listening to the song about Billy, I am too sad and teary eyed to do any of that now... {sniff-sniff}

Actually, Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata', Barber's 'Addagio for Strings', Pahelbel's 'Canon' and Albinoni's 'Addagio' are all quite moving in a sad way

You all have some good ones. I agree with whomever said, "Everybody Hurts" by REM, "Tears in Heaven" by Clapton, and "Black" by PJam. My additions are..."At This Moment" by Billy Vera and the Beaters; especially if you just broke up with your significant other. A very simple one is "Yesterday" by The Beatles. And if you're between the ages of 25 and 35, who could ever forget Boys II Men classics such as "End of the Road" and "Water Runs Dry" Brian McKnight's "Anytime" and "Nobody Knows" by Tony Rich Project and of course, "Goodbye to Romance" by the legend-Ozzy! Hope you like!
