Just finished Letter of a Nation, a collection of letters from throughout America's History from famous and non-famous people.

Now I'm reading a book of short Vampire stories, 1001 vicious little Vampire stories.

I needed something light after all that seriousness.

jose vancelos "the cosmis race"

it sounds sci fi and everything but it just the most boring pseudo theorical analysis of why the latinoamericans should get together as one nation to create a new race (race number 5 AKA the cosmis race) to lead the world to a new state where fantasy would rule the earth and everything "that is made with a sense of beauty is going to make the place a better world beacuse it happier".

It sounds a bit acid trip timothy leary kind of thing but explained the way he does (taking geography, teutonics, antropology) it get absolutely boring

ohh and i forgotÑ he believes we all come from atlantenas. When i say all I mean latinos, not northeuropean, african, far east asia or mongols. That why we, atlanteans-latinos, will lead the earth to a better state making everynoe free and happy
My god!

finished this recently:

'"...When I was a teenager, I thought love would solve everything. In my early 20s, I thought sex would solve everything. By my late 20s, I thought a career would solve everything. At age 30, I thought marriage would solve everything, and then - when it didn't - I was sure that motherhood would. By my late 30s, following a brief period of certainty that therapy would solve everything, I became convinced that divorce would solve everything. At 40, I saw how absurd this all was, and decided to renovate..."

RENOVATE!?

i'm still none the wiser!
